Synopsis
Argentina considers itself the most European of South American countries, and with good reason. The Argentineans are highly cultivated people with a strong connection to the old world; their achievements in design, filmmaking, literature, music, and art place them firmly in today's global culture spotlight. When it comes to decorating, they have a great talent for bringing together the old and the new, with subtle touches of color and rich textiles, and incorporating the country's beautiful landscapes in their architectural palette. Editor Angelika Taschen invites readers to pore over this selection of houses, apartments, ranches, polo grounds, and more, including an opulent century-old opera house where Maria Callas sang as well as the homes of Francis Mallmann, the country's most famous chef, Xul Solar, painter and close friend of the great Argentinean writer Jorge Luis Borges, and Juan Gatti, graphic designer for Pedro Almodvar., Argentina considers itself the most European of South American countries, and with good reason. - s***l (11)- Évaluation laissée par l'acheteur.Six derniers moisAchat vérifiéGreat seller, good value. The book arrived ina timely manner although I didn't understand why usps shipping routed the order out of state and then back when I live in the same city. I guess that's how the routes are set up. Anyhow. Good packaging although some bubble would be appreciated, it came in good condition, as described and definitely a valuable purchase. Thank you & God Bless 🙌
- l***e (114)- Évaluation laissée par l'acheteur.Dernier moisAchat vérifiéVery fast service and shipping. Packaged well and with care. Item better than described. Good communication and price. Will not hesitate to deal with again. Superb seller! AAAA+++
- c***r (562)- Évaluation laissée par l'acheteur.Six derniers moisAchat vérifiéMost importantly, the book condition was as specified. Many thanks for that. Also, the book was delivered promptly from the US to the UK. Also, the price was reasonable for an out-of-print book. However, one point of constructive criticism: the packaging could have been much better, in order to better protect the book in transit. The book was sent in a bubble-wrap mailer only. It would have benefited greatly from cardboard packaging. Thank you very much for any consideration of my feedback.Power: A Scientific Approach (#187431076956)
