Great car mount
I love these things. I lost my steelie ball after an accident I had. I took it out of my old car and misplaced it but I still had my magnet. Couldn't wait to get a replacement ball, great mount!

Nothing works better... but it takes some better adhesives to make it work.
It is well designed, BUT the "sticky" stuff on the base doesn't last long on the dash material of my cars. I had to use a different adhesive. I have one in my older vehicle and used a new adhesive 10 years ago, still in place. When I got this new one for my new vehicle I just put it in place and it fell off in 3 days. So back to the better adhesive. It will be there for the life of the car. Value: It's a VERY high price for a steel ball. But they work for my phones and walkie talkies. Just my opinion. The kits with ball and magnet are a slightly better value, but the adhesive on the magnet part doesn't hold well either. You need the magnetic ring to attach to ...
You need the magnetic ring to attach to the phone to make the magnetic ball hold the phone. This was only the ball. The ring apparently is sold separately. It has strong adhesive, clean modern look, no easily-broken plastic pieces. Not recommended for vehicles that have high temperatures in the cabin like in the summer, according to the instructions, likely due to weakening of the adhesive over time. So, the user needs to avoid hot temperatures in the car. Replacement adhesive is available. You need the magnetic ring to attach to the phone to make the magnetic ball hold the phone.
