The metal ring on the back is very stiff but that's a good thing if you want to use it to prop your phone up or keep it to a place where your finger(s) can hold it easy however it did get in the way of using with my cell phone holder in the car but if you have a holder that can adjust for larger phones it shouldn't be an issue or you could take your phone out of the lanyard if you have the same issue.
