Good Movie!
Never thought I'd like the new version of this movie after seeing the first one so many times over the years. This one put a new spin on the old story line plus had newer type special effects.

Ok remake, you might like it.
This movie isn't as good as the 1 st one, but it was worth my time. It has a good twist to it. It's a bit dark for young people. It has good leads and an ok plot too. And a good supporting cast. It also has an ok screenplay.

Good as it gets
Keanu Reeves has made some good films he was a good-looking guy and he had a talent for acting but a lot of it went through to the wayside. I think this film was okay they missed the biggest opportunity of all when when the film open and Gort comes out he should have annihilated all the police he should have been dilated buildings in the distance like a white house and Congress we all would have cheered for that one, but they missed a golden opportunity he really didn't do anything at all he melted a few planes until he actually dissolves into whatever those bugs are that decides to eat the Earth and all the people on it which I thought was genius but I really thought it would have been better if we could have saw a little more of him zapping army tanks and army jeeps in army men into ... I think this film was okay they missed the biggest opportunity of all when when the film open and Gort comes out he should have annihilated all the police he should have been dilated buildings in the distance like a white house and Congress we all would have cheered for that one, but they missed a golden opportunity he really didn't do anything at all he melted a few planes until he actually dissolves into whatever those bugs are that decides to eat the Earth and all the people on it which I thought was genius but I really thought it would have been better if we could have saw a little more of him zapping army tanks and army jeeps in army men into complete muddle of hot liquid. he should have used his talents a little bit more and ask for the glue that he sat down and the light is so bright in the beginning of the film you can't even see what he said him down you know coming out of I thought that was a mistake if you're going to make this movie so dark that we can't see what's going on and that happens so often that don't make the movie if you're afraid to make us laugh because you might get a lawsuit because somebody swallow their own tongue that don't make the movie, if you are afraid that we're going to be scared so much that we're going to pee our pants in the theater and have nightmares then don't make the movie stop making remakes of remakes of remakes cuz it's disgusting and it's stupid bring back The talented writers and the best crew of animators the world has ever seen Hollywood I know you're around by the Jewish community but you fucked it up big-time just like your fucking up the medical system and healthcare system in America while Israel gets their entire healthcare system paid for a 2 billion dollars a year the rest of us can't get healthcare and can't get coverage to take an ingrown toenail out we're being screwed over by our own Congress. such as the case with the poor alien dude in this movie who comes here and white Congress once again tries to take over the world and tell him how things have to be and he's absolutely not going to put up with their shit so he unleashes the end of the world very much I think they should have ended the film with everybody running and screaming and being destroyed as opposed to being saved okay maybe the kids should have been safe cuz I really liked him. Enjoy!!

Special effects won’t improve a classic
I bought this for the original (1951) version, which is rightfully viewed as a sci-fi classic. I watched the re-make, out of curiosity; it confirmed my suspicion, which was that a script changes, a color print, and high tech special effects, wouldn’t improve on the original. They didn’t. The price justified my purchase, in any event.
