'Scared Money' is an intimate and personal debut record from singer-songwriter Travis Vertuca. Travis defines his influences as broad and narrow at the same time. From, Townes Van Zandt to Mogwai, Travis borrows from many influences and creates a synthesis of sound. States Away is deeply rooted in classic Americana, but refuses to look at it with some kind of plaintive nostalgia as is often done. His voice is unique, singular and emerging as a soundtrack for a jaded audience. States Away, and Travis are currently putting a West Coast tour together for fall 2010, but as always are wrought with apathy. Wish them luck. Enjoy the record.

I'm a bit surprised on how fast they got it to me because of the 4th of July weekend window I'd ordered it in, but it got to me earlier than listed and well wrapped up. It got to me in brand new looking shape. Good seller, fast shipping and they sent me what they advertised.

It arrived very quickly and was packaged superbly. However upon opening the package I found that only one of the two cds had been shipped. I reached out to the seller to make them aware of the problem. They quickly responded and took responsibility for the mistake. Moreover they immediately refunded my money no other questions asked. These days it’s rare to find a seller that puts the customer first!!!
