For my example (tl1000s) I had to modify the internal tank mount, add submersible fuel line and fit an external fuel filter as there was no way it was fitting in the oem location. The positive lead was also too short so I had to extend this with some fuel safe cable and heatshrink (you could use the original pump wiring in a pinch to extend it). Good pump though :-)
