À propos de ce produit
Product Information
A modern vision of hell, "Lanark" is set in the disintegrating cities of Unthank and Glasgow, and tells the interwoven stories of Lanark and Duncan Thaw. A work of extraordinary imagination and wide range, its playful narrative techniques convey a profound message, both personal and political, about humankind's inability to love, and yet our compulsion to go on trying. Widely recognized as a modern classic, Alasdair Gray's magnum opus was first published in 1981 and immediately established him as one of Britain's leading writers. Comparisons have been made to Dante, Blake, Joyce, Orwell, Kafka, Huxley, and Lewis Carroll. This new edition should cement his reputation as one of our greatest living writers.

- i***l (10)- Évaluation laissée par l'acheteur.Dernier moisAchat vérifiéThis is my second time buying from this seller and I would definitely place another order in the future. This time I ordered three books and everything went well. The books arrived in great condition, matching the description. As always they are very carefully wrapped. The prices are great and the communication is always very kind and clear.. responses very quickly. Highly recommend this seller.
- e***p (93)- Évaluation laissée par l'acheteur.Dernier moisAchat vérifiéThis book arrived in good condition and as described and good was good value as were the other books I ordered. Unfortunately the packaging didn't survive Royal Mails handling and this was the only book I received of five I had ordered. I contacted WeBuyBooks and they have been brilliant in trying to resolve the issue of the missing books. They are replacing one that they still have in stock though unfortunately are unable to do so for the other three so are issuing a refund for these.

I have bought from this seller a few times and everything has always met or exceeded my expectations.
