Good but would make adjustments
You can't use this on carpet. The program has high expectations of the user. If you have physical disabilities the program has no way of taking that into consideration and will keep prompting you to change your performance. When the program considers your height and weight it automatically selects an image of yourself so if you are overweight it makes your mii fat. If you can't perform the required tasks, the game instructor gives you nasty undesirable looks and words or discouragement. Not an encouraging game if you aren't in excellent physical health. My healthy 7 year old daughter uses this too and it is discouraging for her too.You can't use this on carpet. The program has high expectations of the user. Something for everyone!
The game and fit meter work as expected. The game has so many activities to try that I have a hard time imagining ever getting bored with them! There is something for everyone, and it's a great way to get some exercise when going outside isn't an option! We ended up getting a second fit meter for my husband, and now we compete with each other for number of steps, calories burned, and high score in each of the games. My kids are even enjoying the games and competing with each other! Definitely worth the purchase! The game and fit meter work as expected. Great board and games :-D
This product arrived on time, I was anxious after reading some reviews that it might only work on Wii U, but it works on my Wii system. I am really happy with this product, the balance board works great and I love the games it came with. I'm excited to get in better shape using it. I've only played a few games so far but I enjoy learning the yoga poses it teaches and skate boarding game. Exactly What I Wanted
I got this as a gift from my parents since I wanted something to help get me more fit and record my steps while I'm at work. It's done exactly that, though I haven't gotten to use it much aside from recording steps while working. One day I used the game so much after work that I ended up hobbling like an old woman due to being sore (I'd worked late that day), but I didn't let that stop me from going to the mall with my friends. Great value for a great package!
A great workout if you're a behind the desk, never get to go out much person like me. Wii Fit U has a great mixture training such as yoga and strength training, dance, sports, and fitness disguised as games. The fit meter is great for tracking your walking/climbing habits, I found out that my walk from my parking spot to my office is about a mile, and so far climbing the stairs has gotten me up to the top of the Statue of Liberty :-) Exercises can be adjusted to whatever you want to do. Pick them à la carte, by how many minutes you'd like to work out, by how many calories you want to burn, or several other choices. The balance board doesn't feel like a gimmick either. I'm a bit unbalanced, and with the exercises which require balance it shows! These exercises tend to have a yellow ... In my case I the dot will be moving around a lot, though the exercises seem to have slowly improved my balance. Finally, I like to leave a word of warning. What is not included with Wii Fit U, and what is needed in some exercises, are the Wii remote plus controller and nunchuk attachment. In fact, some of the dance games require 2 Wii remote plus controllers. Fortunately, the majority of exercises don't need these, but if you want to make full use of the package, make sure you have these peripherals. I do not feel this is very detrimental to this product however, but to some this may matter a great deal.
