    The well-traveled Mario embarks on his most visually striking adventure to date, one that finds the mustachioed plumber running, jumping, and flying across 3D realms for the first time. While the storyline might not surprise veteran players -- Princess Peach has been abducted yet again by Mario's turtle-shelled nemesis, Bowser - the control scheme and play mechanics offer a new take on the best-selling platform series. The Nintendo 64's distinctive controller allows Mario to tiptoe, walk, and run simply by varying pressure on the analog stick. The yellow buttons control the camera, while others initiate triple jumps, back flips, ground pounds, and more. Mario can even swing and fling large boss characters by twirling the analog stick after grabbing them. The 15 main worlds in Super Mario 64 are linked together from within Peach's castle. While exploring the hallowed halls and royal rooms, players will encounter paintings leading to new and varied environments. From snow- and lava-filled realms to lagoons and deserts, each world is home to seven golden stars that Mario must collect to unlock additional areas in the castle. Players will complete an assortment of tasks to acquire all 120 stars, from locating eight red coins to racing a giant penguin. Familiar enemies such as goombas, koopas, and chain chomps will appear sporadically throughout each area, allowing Mario to perfect his patented butt-bounce. The ultimate goal is to find and defeat Bowser in a series of three one-on-one showdowns.

        going back in time

        I had great reservations about buying this game online, but it was in perfect condition and it's all I ever wanted to introduce my grandsons to for great 3d fun with Mario. It was a better price than gamestop could offer also. We love Mario in any setting. This game is very much like Mario Galaxy in the way the characters move and the terrain they traverse.

        Super Mario 64 Cartridge was Kept clean and labels are excellent condition

        Everything checked out but there is a slight opening of the bottom of cartridge which is a bummer. In one picture i show how slightly opened the cartridge is and in the other how tight it should have been. It is a pretty old game so i kinda expected i would find this on a classic game cartridge. 4/5 Stars

        The greatest classic, fun, cool, time consuming game out there

        We'll first this game is an unforgettable classic. Who doesn't like Mario. Second,, Mario can do a lot of cool things by you controlling him. Thirdly,, The game itself is unique and Fun, plus the search for things is very cool. Get to have fun while doing all this.. It should have a rating of 10 not 5.

        Cute, simple & fun game

        Product works great for a used game. Happy to share a game I played when I was little with my little! It's an easy game with simple controls & objectives. It's still a little complicated for my 3yr old but it makes for a great game to practice on.

        Still one of the best

        This game is incredible: the levels are varied, the gameplay is slick, there are so many different challenges. It's hard to believe this was a launch title for the N64; it stands the test of time and holds up as one of the best games ever made for the system.
