Product Information

The series that first taught gamers to "kart" race speeds online in its DS debut. As in the popular SNES, N64, and GBA versions of Mario Kart, players choose a favorite character from the Nintendo canon and compete in chaotic, anything-goes races around variety of Mushroom Kingdom-themed tracks.<br><br>Each character comes with his or her own custom go-kart, and offers a different mix of speed, pick-up, and strength. Adding to the excitement are an assortment of power-ups, such as high-speed boosts, slippery banana peels, and ricocheting shells, which when used properly (and with a little luck), can knock a front-runner off the track or launch a last-place racer into first.<br><br>New in the DS version of Mario Kart is an online multiplayer mode, designed to be accessible through a proprietary DS-to-DS wi-fi connection (for as many as eight) or a wireless connection to the Internet (for up to four).

    Great Mario Kart Game

    My son loves this game. He was so excited about getting it, he could hardly sleep. I love that I he was able to use it on his 2DS XL. His goal is to have every Mario Kart game there is. I'm still working on that, and this gets us one step closer. The cartridge itself appeared to be new in box with original shrink wrapping, so big bonus there. Getting new items always makes him happier.

    Oldie but a goodie

    This is probably the best on the go Mario Kart game in its portable series. It's gameplay-friendly in the fact that it doesn't heavily depend on stats like Mario Kart Wii, 7 and 8. It's too bad Nintendo WFC is discontinued for the original Nintendo DS. Includes 8 cups, Time Trials with Ghost Data from the staff that were involved in making the game, Balloon Battle, Coin Rush, Challenge Mode, and provides endless hours of gameplay. It is a timeless classic that every Nintendo DS owner should have.

    Fantastic retro handheld platform game

    While not at intuitive as Mario kart 7, 8, or 8 deluxe, Mario Kart DS contains most of the elements of the franchise that made the game a Blockbuster!! From unlockable characters and tracks, to mini-turbo boosts that launch you around the various tracks, Mario kart DS is hours of family-friendly fun!!

    Awesome Childhood Game

    This game takes me back to my childhood!! Super fun to play. I bought this as a Valentine's Day gift for my husband. I'm sure he will love it just as much as I do! :-)

    Perfect!

    Very very good! It came perfectly fine and in amazing condition. Packaged nicely in bubble wrap so it wouldn't get damaged. I saw no dirt on the game cart and it played just fine on my 2ds xl.
