Product Information

Sony's fifth entry in its flagship racing series includes over one thousand licensed cars that, for the first time in the franchise, will show real-time damage based on the point of impact and rate of speed. Other visual enhancements include smoke from tires, sparks from rollovers, and the gradual accumulation of dirt. The vehicle physics engine introduced in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue has been replaced with a revamped model to offer more realism. Play modes include the GT Career Mode, Championship Races, Arcade Mode, and License Tests, with a progression system that lets you earn credits to further customize your ride(s). <br><br>The career option features a world map that lets you enter races, visit licensed dealerships, browse various tuning and body shops, and view nearby car washes to return your vehicle to its showroom state. More than 20 tracks are included, each supporting over 70 variations to offer new twists and turns each time you play. Snap photos of your best races from multiple angles and store them in an album, or capture replay footage to share with others on YouTube. Four players can compete via split-screen display, and up to 16 can battle each other online via PlayStation Network. Online features include public and private lobbies as well as text and voice chat. Owners of the PSP version and/or Gran Turismo 5 Prologue can also transfer unlocked vehicles to the PS3 game's garage.

    Excellent Classic Racing Game

    I've forgotten just how great this game is. I used to own it many, many years ago, but after reluctantly selling off my PS3 and the games, I missed how great this was. Now that I have gotten into nostalgia mode, reclaiming this game was a great move, and at a very fair price. Both the disc, manual and case were in excellent condition, and the disc plays without issue. If you like racing, GT5 is the way to go.

    Gt5 Ps3 Awesome

    I've alway been a great fan of the Sony GT5. This game never gets old and is still my favourite. I play it with driving force GT at manual mode and what can I say, hours and hours of fun. Game is very easy to play, although, the higher you progress, more difficult the challenges get. I give this game 5 out of 5 stars considering GT6 is already out now. Highly recommend for the racing game fanatics.

    Challenging Format

    This game does not fool around. It makes you work for status and is at times difficult to understand. I need to do some research and see how to use it properly. I like it though, it is intelligent.

    Glad I bought it used!

    So I have loooooong been a fan of the GT series and had taken a long break between playing GT 4 and GT 5, and I must say, I wasn't that impressed. Yes the graphics are better and yes there are some new tracks, but the cars and events are pretty much unchanged. I still love this game and enjoy playing it, but I a VERY glad that I waited and got this copy for under $10! Peace.

    Not bad

    Bought this really cheap and like the games. So far haven’t seen any problems with it yet. Would buy again.
