    Synopsis
Maurice Sendak's Caldecott Medal-winning picture book has become one of the most highly acclaimed and best-loved children's books of all time. A must for every child's bookshelf. This iconic story has inspired a movie, an opera, and the imagination of generations. When Max dresses in his wolf suit and causes havoc in the house, his mother sends him to bed. From there, Max sets sail to an island inhabited by the Wild Things, who name him king and share a wild rumpus with him. But then from far away across the world, Max smells good things to eat... Let the wild rumpus continue as this classic comes to life like never before with new reproductions of Maurice Sendak's artwork. Astonishing state-of-the-art technology faithfully captures the color and detail of the original illustrations. Sendak himself enthusiastically endorsed this impressive new interpretation of his art. Mary Pols of Time magazine wrote that "what makes Sendak's book so compelling is its grounding effect: Max has a tantrum and in a flight of fancy visits his wild side, but he is pulled back by a belief in parental love to a supper 'still hot." Generations have shared this beautiful picture book, and children of all ages will want to return to it again and again. New York Public Library's #4 book on the list of "Top Check-Outs of All Time" One of the National Education Association's "Teachers' Top 100 Books for Children" The top picture book in School Library Journal's survey of its readers Maurice Sendak was also the creator of such classics as In the Night Kitchen, Outside Over There, Higglety Pigglety Pop!, and Nutshell Library., Maurice Sendak's Caldecott Medal-winning picture book has become one of the most highly acclaimed and best-loved children's books of all time. I am thrilled with my purchase! eBay is always a bit of a gamble, but honestly, I couldn't be happier! The seller shipped within hours of me purchasing and the plushies are in even better condition than I could have hoped. It was a phenomenal deal, the seller even put them in a plastic bag inside the box so they would stay dry while shipping and they were in a roomy box so none of them were misshapen. The listing was accurate and I would be happy to purchase from this seller again in the future!

As described, this vintage, milk glass deviled egg dish is in good shape. It will replace the one that my Mom gave me a couple decades ago. It got broken during a move. The seller priced it very fairly and packaged it well also. She shipped it fast and being very sentimental, and no longer having my Mom, I am so happy to have it. Thank you! AAA++++++++++

    • Fast, excellent service

I ordered this book for my nieces and nephews for when I'm watching them, it was one of my absolute favorite books as a kid and I'm hoping to pass the love onto them. I ordered it two days ago and already got it in! Fast, excellent service, absolutely no hassle, and the book was in pristine condition. Can't wait for the next time the kids come over to share the love of King Max and his adventure!

    • Surprised!

My 2 yo son will choose this book from his shelf a couple times a week for one of his nightly tales. He absolutely loves it. The pictures are so intriguing yet the script is so simple that he enjoys it so much. Isn’t there a movie out for it too? I’ll have to look into it. But recommend this book for all ages!
