    CTM makes you thankful to have them around

    I watched the tv program on PBS and although it is good, the book is more detailed. It is an easy read. I read it in two days. The story of Jenny Worth's life delivering babies is intriguing. Could not get enough and am ordering the other two.

    Good Read

    Jenny Worth is a great writer. The book portrayed the hardships that postwar Britain experienced and of course the midwives.

    Tears and joy as you read

    Life in East End London 1950’s comes alive. Compassion from the nuns and midwifes is overwhelming. I couldn’t put it down.
