    The figment was correct. But it was FAR ...

    The figment was correct. But it was FAR more difficult to install than the factory style filter. I m not unhappy with this filter, but getting the screw started with this filter was tough. When it gets dirty, I ll order the OEM style next time. Not hating it, bike runs great with it, just not really worth the extra pain in the but it adds to install.

    Seems like a good K/N style replacement air filter.

    K/N style air filter for my 1991 DR350S. Fits pretty well. Hard to start the securing bolt. Metal endplate has sharp edges - will cut your fingers. This could be easily fixed yourself with some #400 sandpaper. I think it was pre-oiled but could not tell for sure. I purchased a bottle of K/N liquid oil from autozone for $8. (Ordered online, picked up locally.) The unit is somewhat heavier than the original foam filter.

    Almost impossible to install

    This filter is almost impossible to install in he stock air box, there's no guide for the mounting stud to line up with the nut on the carb so it's just dumb luck to line it up for mounting. I went back to the original foam / oiled filter much easer to install. If it had a guide tube attached to the metal plate for allinement of the mounting bolt it might be a ok filter.

    Remove air boot for installation. Seems to be good quality.

    This thing is really hard (impossible?) to get on with removing the air boot in front of the airbox. That was the only way I could get it to thread in. Seems to be of good solid quality similar to a K&N.

    Keep looking to find an OEM style filter

    someone thought bigger is better so this filter does not fit into the air box. I tried modifying the filter to get it in and then I had to seriously modify my airbox just to get going. It looks like a K and N filter which is a bad option anyway and not what I would ever put on a bike that I wanted to keep very long.
