    Not as good as the original, but...good!

    Not as good as the original (how could it possibly be?), but...good! After I heard about this spin-off series, I really had no interest...the original is so good, I couldn't see how a spin-off could compare. But after a friend recommended it, I took a chance...and watched the whole first season in 1 sitting. I'll continue watching Fear, but readily admit the original is better. Still Fear is worth watching!

    slow begining with some promise

    starts very slow.I am huge walking dead fan,so I may have expected the same engaging characters. Waiting to see if it improves next season.I Don't regret purchasing the series,just not totally impressed yet.

    Tension with slow movement

    You need to be able to handle visceral scenes to enjoy this. It starts off with high tension but not too much blood and gore for a while. It's the beginning of the destruction of civilization as we know it and it shows how different people deal with their attitudes towards life and face dramatic changes. When the stuff flies, can you trust your government? Excellent scenes where National Guardsmen act on the dichotomy between what they are ordered to do and what they, in their hearts, believe is right. A great beginning--let's hope that the writers and actors can maintain the level that this story begins with. Not for the faint of heart--really--but great!

    The second viewing of this first season thriller has heightened my interest for more!

    They say there is only one first impression. It had been awhile since I had begun viewing Fear the Walking Dead, Season 1, so I decided to refresh my memory. WOW! My "second impression" was indeed a repeat of the first. It was awesome the second time around. I quickly re-connected with the characters, each of whom was perfectly picked for their role. And the plot of living in a world turned upside down is reminiscent (to a degree) of where we are now in our unprecedented "COVID 19 world!" This DVD series captured my full attention. The only problem now is that I'm hooked again, needing the "fix" of at least another season's worth of viewing. BUT, after all, that's good for yet another Ebay sale!

    Fear the walking dead

    Slow up start and drags but picks up in the last episodes - hoping for more action in the season's to come - I know Smiley (Training Day) has a lot more vigor and raw recklessness to offer - hope to see just that!
