        Good modem, but Optimum had trouble with the set up

        I bought this to replace my Optimum cable modem, because we got tired of paying $10 per month for a piece of hardware that they have not replaced in years. The ARRIS modem itself is easy enough to set up at my end, but it took Optimum multiple tries over several days to get it to work with their telephone system. I do not know if that is Optimum's fault or not, but they are so difficult to get in touch with, and everytime they would reset the modem it would cut off the WiFi & therefore the phone call with the tech. Total nightmare over three days to make it work.

        Good value and performs well

        Looking to save $ on older rental modem, bought this to replace. Compatible with my ISP, easy set up and activation. Already faster and more stable. Good value and improved speed with multi channels. Only question is reliability with only a week of experience

        Device will not sync with Optimum

        Not easy to setup will not sync with Optimum. I call Optimum and they try to sync the device to their network, but it will not. I would like to return the device. I have no time to deal with troubleshooting. If I get a Product I want just to open a box and work in the first time.

        Excellent Choice for 300 Megabit Optimum Service

        Looking to eliminate my monthly rental fee with Optimum, probably a common topic. Reading the reviews this modem seemed to be compatible with the service. Plugged in the unit and within minutes internet was detected and communicating with Optimum. Using the online portal, I registered the modem and within 10 minutes, I no longer needed my rental modem. Not everything was perfect, my router/network required a hard restart to work out some issues. For the first 2 days I suffered some intermittent connectivity issues and loss in transfer rates. After a hard restart of the entire system along with the modem, all the issues sorted themselves out. Performance seems to have improved over my old rental unit. Pings have dropped by about 4ms and transfer is a hair faster. I only have 200 ...

        Works with Optimum Online

        Device works - Need to call internet provider after installing device to port the modem onto the outside world. Order was processed promptly.
