    Fixed my favorite drill

    I loaned my favorite drill to a co-worker and it was returned with the trigger not working. I went to ebay and bought a new OEM replacement for much less than a new drill, installed it with little effort, and my old PCC-600 is working like it should again. But BE ADVISED, you will need a soldering iron and basic soldering skills (or know someone who does) to remove the old and install the new. There are four small wires to soldered to terminals. When you get the drill housing apart take a picture of the old assembly before removing .. it can be helpful when tucking the new wires in their proper route. I've gotten many hours out of this drill and will continue to as long as replacement parts are available.

    Brought my old drill back to life

    It works (so far). There is an issue with the forward/stop/reverse switch which is why I gave it 3 stars, but other than that it does work. The switch doesn't switch smoothly, gets hung up and won't go into position until you switch it back to the other side and try again, gets stuck in the middle most often, and the switch just generally feels cheap. Also my drill feels weaker now when I hold the chuck collar and pull the trigger, but I haven't put it through any heavy drilling yet so I don't know. But it does feel weaker. I guess we'll see when it gets some real use. It should probably honestly be 2 stars, but it does work and I haven't heavily tested it yet so three stars is me giving it the benefit of the doubt.

    some modification required in my application.

    Works great. However, I had to modify the body of my Porter Cable drill somewhat as the dimensions of this switch are a little different than the original, and It did not fit completely in the cavity where it goes. A little dremmel action though and it dropped right in.
