        The best transfer I've seen to date, and the best film of the master

        A truly miraculous take on Greek mythology, in the best transfer to date, with the best effects sequences that Ray Harryhausen ever designed and created. Very informative audio commentaries, one by Harryhausen and Tony Dalton, and the other by Randall Cook and Peter Jackson.

        Epic sword and sorcery in a world of myth and monsters.

        Jason and the Argonauts, the 1963 film with great special effects by Ray Harryhausen, takes you on the Jason's journey to capture the Golden Fleece. Besides compelling performances by Todd Armstrong and Honor Blackman, the story is exciting and entertaining, the cinematography gorgeous, and the stop motion creatures like Talos, the Hydra, and the army of skeletons a marvel to watch. At 54, I've watched and rewatched this film since I was ten and have never tired of it. Highly recommended for those who want to try retro-cinema for the first time and for old fans who want to revisit this fantasy classic. The blu ray does honor and justice to a film worth preserving for future film lovers.

        Good movie!

        Always enjoyed this film, I first owned the vhs copy and wanted the dvd for better quality. Now I can watch worry free.

        Classic movie

        Can't go wrong with the classics. I had bought a copy for the landlord and his wife. They throughly enjoyed the movie for Christmas.
