This unit does increase power somewhat.
This unit does increase power somewhat but I had some pinging on acceleration in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear. I cannot blame the unit totally but I dialed it back to a setting of 4 initial and 4 advance and still had pinging. The unit also made my speedo needle move intermittently and got a trouble code. Contacted Daytona Twin Tech and had to ship the unit back to DTT at my expense for them to troubleshoot the unit. They said the unit was good but sent me a new one back. The asked if I might have a short in my electrical system which I did not. I never had any issues with my bike before I installed the DTT unit. I still have to install the new unit to see if things have improved. I think that it is ridiculous that you spend around $300.00 for this unit and still have to buy a separate USB ... Almost perfect....
This new TC88A module gave my old carbureted street glide new life. Man the power increase is highly noticeable and dialing in my settings was pretty easy as well. The only reason for a 4 star rating is because the new module messes with your speedometer. It doesn't function as smoothly with the DTT Module. My speedometer now "jumps" in 5 mph increments while accelerating and during deceleration. Not enough of a deal breaker to send it back but for the price I expected no problems. Also there are no connection issues with the speedometer. Switching back to the stock module corrects the issue. This new TC88A module gave my old carbureted street glide new life. All the features in a tidy easy package.
Using on a twincam fxr carb conversion. Has all the features required that some don't. simple clean and easy to connect.
