Love this intake!
I was skeptical if I would see any difference as it add 16 hp and 32 lbs of torque. I was amazed after putting it on how much of a difference it made; and yes it was VERY noticeable. The Ram Air was easy to install and all parts fit fine with no adjustments needed. Literally just take out your old stock intake and put this one in. Great Product easy to install adds noticeable power and economy Lightweight with great features
I bought my F350 brand new in 2001 have put 180.000 miles on my truck so ! It was time to wake up that 7.3 power stroke, So I added the Banks 42210 Ram Air intake system along with a Evolution programming device. Now I have a power making 7.3 Power stroke my mileage has improved from 17.50 mpg to 23.30. my torque is over the top. Money well spent !

Fits perfectly on Early 99 7.3 Powerstrokes
I hesitated for a long time to get this as there were mixed reviews on the fitment of this CAI into an early 99. Those must have been older reviews on the previous design, this one bolted right in with zero modifications needed. I previously had an AFE filter in the stock air box housing so I have not noticed any difference in the turbo whistle, but still a great system that draws air from the front of the truck and from the stock fender opening. Make sure you check that the front snorkel is not obstructed, I had to cut an opening to make sure that fresh air got to the front snorkel. Yes it blocks the fill for the power steering pump reservoir, but do yourself a favor and change your fluid before you install this. There are simple videos on how to do this on YouTube. Your 7.3 truck is at least 15 years old, you'll love how much better she brakes and turns after a flush, and go with synthetic! You won't be sorry with this system, looks great when installed. S&B 7.3 Powerstroke intake
Fantastic intake! I purchased this intake because I live in a dusty and windy area with dirt/sandy roads in Southern CA. The enclosure has kept my filter cleaner for months longer than other open element intake systems and is very much quieter than those other systems as well. For those wondering there is an increased amount of turbo noise in the cab, but it is not over powering at all. In my experience it does not affect conversations and I can hear my small children in the back seats just fine. The CARB sticker is also nice and appreciated as I can smog the truck without hesitation.Fantastic intake!
