Disappointed
I am disappointed with this tool. It will beep on the wire going to the circuit breaker, but it won't beep on any of the breakers themselves. Means I had to remove the panel cover to locate the right breaker for each circuit. I gave it 3 stars because I can use it, just not according to the instructions. The power switch is too exposed, also. It's hard NOT to press the power button just picking it up or holding. It also gets pressed in my pocket. Good thing is has auto power off, but not sure how that would work if the button stays pressed in a pocket or wherever it's stored. I keep mine in the original bubble package for that reason to protect the power button getting accidentally pressed. On the good side, it does seem to have plenty of transmitter/receiver range.I am disappointed with this tool. This is a good tool for finding a circuit breaker, it does not let you trace the wiring. I had to buy a fluke signal generator for that. Also, you will get several hits in the circuit panel, so you have to turn off breakers until you turn off the signal. for someone who simply wants to map out their house, it's a good unit. However, once the house is mapped out, you really don't need it anymore. There are cheaper ones that probably would do the same job.This is a good tool for finding a circuit breaker, it does not let you trace the wiring. I had to buy a fluke signal generator for that. Electrical Life is Much Simplier Now
This Klein Tools Circuit Breaker Finder ET300 is very simple to use. No longer running back and forth or enlisting the help of another to yell back and forth. It works great and is less expensive than other models and brands.

No more Guessing🤦🏻
After trying to Guess which circuit breaker does what section of the house, I decided to purchase the Klein digital circuit breaker finder. It’s a great product. It will save you lots of walking and frustration!

Works as advertised. A handy tool for electrical projects
Works as advertised. I've used this 3 times recently to trace light switches to their circuit breaker in a poorly-labeled panel. The tool quickly identified the breaker on the first attempt in each case. The tool has a hair-trigger, so simply picking it up often triggers the scanning, but that's my only gripe. Good device - wish I had this years ago.
