      Humans versus Arachnids but with a surprising twist.

      This was a Science Fiction Horror Movie set in the Starship Troopers universe from the first movie. This universe has little to no relationship to the book by Robert Heinlein. The Mobile Infantry in Heinlein's story were well thought out and well equipped. The Mobile Infantry in these movies does not deserve the description of "Mobile". The special effects are entertaining but the story line is somewhat light and there is very little to make this distinctively a Starship Troopers movie as opposed to an Aliens movie other than the enemy being arthropods. In fact, this movie seems to have lifted a its basic ideas from the Aliens movies. Humour was one of the redeeming characteristics of the first movie but is not present at all in this the second movie. The ending leaves one wondering: ...

      A fun, gritty, low-budget sequel!

      The visual quality of Starship Troopers 2 is a bit jarring, especially after I had recently re-watched the original Starship Troopers. However, considering this movie had a budget of 7 million, compared to a 100-million for the original, I'd say it was a valiant effort for a low-budget sequel! The actors/actresses are very good and the action kept me entertained. The story was a bit lack-luster, that being said, I believe they executed it well enough to keep me interested in the plight of the characters. Watch this with the mindset of a low-budget film, and I believe you'll enjoy it as much I did!

      A fun romp thru the bug universe

      Number 2 of the Federation movies has a engaging storyline that has the hero fighting the bugs and those in command. Entering and fun to watch.
