Heroes from two disparate publishers come together for three-on-three brawls in this continuation of the Marvel vs. Capcom tag-team fighting series. Projectile attacks, slams, jump kicks, punches, and over-the-top "hyper" combos are all possible with your choice of 32 characters. Representing Marvel are Iron Man, Deadpool, Storm, Magneto, Spider-Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, She-Hulk, Doctor Doom, Wolverine, Super-Skrull, X-23, Phoenix, M.O.D.O.K., and Dormammu. Characters lifted from Capcom's vaults include Mike Haggar, Viewtiful Joe, Dante, Ryu, Morrigan, Chris Redfield, Felicia, Chun-Li, Trish, Amaterasu, Tron Bonne, Wesker, Nathan Spencer, Zero, Crimson Viper, and Arthur. A simple mode lets those new to the series perform combos with a single button press, while other difficulty settings require more intricate controls but rewards players with more attacks to choose from. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 also includes online support in a number of tournament-style play modes. Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds -- Special Edition includes a number of bonuses in addition to the game. The packaging features a steelbook case featuring exclusive artwork, a one-month subscription to Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited, an exclusive 12-page comic book, and a voucher for two additional playable characters, available via digital download: Jill Valentine and Shuma Gorath. |

Good graphics
Compelling gameplay
Good value
MvC3 changes the fighting genre for the better!
Graphics: 4/5 Sound: 5/5 Controls: 5/5 Gameplay: 4/5 Replay: 5/5 Overall: 4.5/5 Graphics: 4/5 The graphics are very good in this game. The 3D art style transposed to a 2D game is once again well done by Capcom. The frame rate and the smoothness of this game is very impressive, which is key in a fighting game. I went into the game with low expectations (considering that the last MvC game was released 10 years ago). The in-game rendering, images, and colors really put you into the game. It moves so fast that you really don’t see the flaws unless you are looking for them. The most interesting thing that this game does well are the special aerial-combos and the tag animations, and the animations of the hyper combos (especially a level 3 finish). The shadows, lighting effects, and motions are good, and get you into the game. The charm is the comic art style, yet it is not as detailed as Super Street Fighter 4. Sound: 5/5 What gives this game a 4/5 in the sound department is the soundtrack, the speech, and the sound effects. A lot of care and love went into making sure there was an impact when hits were made. The voice acting is superb and it really brings back the days of the arcade from Marvel vs. Capcom 1 + 2. Controls: 5/5 Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is easy to pick up and play if you are new to the fighting genre, yet deep enough that you can make it as complex (for you veterans) as you wish. As an example, let’s compare the control schemes between Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Street Fighter 4. Having a Tournament Edition stick from the release of Street Fighter 4, it is the same layout and button configuration as the MvC3 Tournament Edition stick. In using this stick with this game, I am starting to prefer using the standard controller that comes with the system. You can tell the developers wanted as much adoption as possible to this game, and made it nice with the button layout and intuitive to use, especially in the heat of the moment. I must say that compared to a traditional fighting game, the standard controller may be better than the fight stick, and is the way to go for this title – however, it is up to the users preference. Gameplay: 4/5 Let me start by saying that when playing this game with a friend, there is nothing better. I have logged in 6 hours so far in the game, and only stopped because of work and sleep. This is a fun multiplayer game. However, if you have to go it solo, this is still a fun experience. This game can be completed in about 4-8 hours (depending on skill level and difficulty setting) to unlock everything, but it is an enjoyable experience. It is a through back to some fun gaming without the serious overtones found in many games. The reason it isn’t perfect is because playing online can sometimes be brutal, especially if new to the scene. Replay Value – 5/5 This is a great game, and a fun game, to play. The game is not too serious, and an awesome title that has been 10 years in the making. Though it is a shift from the standard fighting genre and control layout (as well as complexity), it is a must have in my book. All this being said, this was an enjoyable playing experience, especially in co-op mode/on-line mode, to play... and I have many more hours that I know I am going to invest in this title. All I can say is that if you disregarded this game because of it being a fighting game, or the because of the new control scheme, please take anothe
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds (SE)
I like the graphics and the way dialogue is character specific. I disliked that all of the characters from previous Marvel vs. Capcom games are not available for play (I would have liked more characters to have been available in the game or at least via download. Examples, playable final villains, Silver Surfer, Thanos, Venom, Colossus, Dahlsim, Dee Jay, Zangief, M. Bison to name some). Plus, Chun Li's ending is an obvious error.
Good game but should have 2 unlockable character expiration
Graphics: 4/5 Sound: 5/5 Controls: 5/5 Gameplay: 4/5 Replay: 5/5 Overall: 4.5/5 Worth getting but some of the characters are too cheesy. I would say it's a nice game but there's room for some improvement. This game is good but as look as you don't look at the pixels that close it'll look good but if you take time to notice the pictures. it's pixels. Overall I would recommend this game to anyone in particular. This game is a great buy if you are into fighting games! I would say the graphics are better then the ones they previously made.
addictive fun
Great Game! very funny and addictive the best side of the game are the opening and cinematics, the power effects and background details, the bad is the ending of each character, It could be better and the characters comic look needed more work If you love to play with your family or friends, believe me, this is your game ;)
Kicking rear will put Smile on face!
In MVC3 you better get some practice and training because you don't want to miss out on taking out opponents with some serious and complex attack combos. The background story blends the two worlds quiet nicely, but I won't be leaving any spoilers. This game will delightfully entertain you! Prepare for some non-stop action. It has a memorable sound track, new awesome and classic characters, and the 2D/3D graphics are just amazing. You will have a blast!!
