    If you don't expect much, it's awesome

    The Hitcher Go into this film expecting very little and you'll enjoy it. It's not meant to be a very scary movie and it's not meant to be taken very seriously. It's gory and action packed from start to finish, it's predictable but that's ok. The acting is decent, the action scenes are great, and the scenes that are meant to be scary are very decent. A high note for me was the soundtrack and the use of music in this movie (maybe because a Music Video Director made this movie) but it really added a cool, hip element to this film. Final Verdict: 4/5 Worth Buying?: If you're a slasher fan it is, if not, it's just a rental.

    WILL MAKE YOU JUMP!!! WATCH AT NIGHT LIGHTS OUT!

    I GIVE THIS A GOOD RATING, I LOVE MOVIES THAT WILL MAKE YOU JUMP OUT OF YOUR SEAT. AND FOR ME THIS ONE DID!! IT STARTS OUT GREAT, AND FREAKS YOU OUT! GET'S EVEN BETTER, MAKES YOU SCARED AND SORRY FOR SOME PEOPLE IN THE MOVIE. BUT AS IT GOES ON IT GETS MORE COP CHASING, HELICOPTER, ETC, KIND OF UNREALISTIC, BUT THEN, YOU HAVE THE GIRL, AND YOU WISH SHE WOULD KILL HIM ALREADY, THEN AT THE MAIN END, YOU KIND OF WANT HIM TO GET AWAY! TILL YOU REMEMBER ALL THE HORRIBLE THINGS HE DID! BUT THE ENDING WAS GREAT! LOVED THE MOVIE. I OWN IT, AND WOULD NOT SALE IT, IT IS FOR MY COLLECTION!! GET IT!

    Sean Bean always worth seeing

    This was a pretty silly movie, which I only watched because I am a Sean Bean fan and watch all of his movies. I don't think it's meant to be taken too seriously, so an easy-going attitude helps when watching it. Bean was an interesting, enigmatic villain. The kids made mistake after mistake, but of course, if they hadn't, there would have been no movie. The burning question in my mind is . . . who the heck was the hitcher calling from the gas station to let them know he was ok? Did this psychopath actually have a real life with normal people in it who cared about him? I guess it wouldn't be the first time. There were some first rate special effects and exciting action sequences. I never saw the original, so can't compare.

    Suspense to the extreme!

    You never know just why the Hitcher does what he does.. you're a smart kid, figure it out. You don't know where this cold blooded killer came from, or where he is going.. but you know that when you're in his sights you will never be safe until you're dead. Did you do something wrong? Are you a zealot, a rich brat, holier than thou? Did you do something to get this guy angry? Doesn't matter, cause if he has his way- you'll be just like him. Great movie, BETTER than the original. Fantastic deleted scenes, loved the behind the scenes shorts that really gave some insight on how good movies are really made. Sean Bean is excellent, taking over Rutger Hauer's original character perfectly. He really has a way of making you gulp over the smallest, ...

    Realistic Thriller

    I thought that The Hitcher was a very good from the standpoint that not only did it contain the suspense/thrill aspects needed, it also was very realistic. Not many of us will stop for a hitchhiker, especially on a desert road late at night. So when the main characters drove pass this guy, I can see how later when they finally meet he is pissed. The twist from there is cool and its a crazy ride until the end. I wouldn't quite call this a 'must buy' but a good watch since its on cable now.
