Experience an original on all fronts with the classic arcade game for Nintendo. Tetris on the NES brought a simple but challenging puzzle game with chiptune Russian music to living rooms across America. It has since had variations built into many games and for most consoles, but the Nintendo version still reigns supreme and brings a heavy dose of nostalgia. And now, the first game played in space can be relived by devoted gaming hobbyists that maintain original NES machines. Tetris stands out from other retro games in that this timeless game is so ubiquitous that it never got old.The general mechanics of this geometric shape-stacking game are simple and yet incredibly challenging as the speed builds up. Four squares are arranged into seven shapes called Tetrominos, from the Greek prefix tetra, which means made of four segments. One by one, Tetrominos fall from the top of the screen, and the player only sees one piece in advance. The objective is to arrange the Tetrominos so they form a solid line of segments across the play area's width. With a blinking flash, that layer disappears and the remaining segments collapse downward to replace the line of removed segments. The Tetris shapes are rotated by the player so that they can fit in gaps left in between previous shapes. This is the first challenge, as gaps that get covered by other segments prevent that entire line from being completed. As the lines build up towards the top, there is less time to rotate and place the Tetris shapes well. If the layers build up all the way to the top, the game is over and the player starts over. If a threshold score is reached by completing layers and gaining points, the player moves on to the next level. With each new level, the rate at which the shapes fall increases, and the classic NES music also speeds up. The original Nintendo-produced version for the NES only had one mode, placing it among hallmark high score challenge games. Competitive purists love these types of games for their minimalist qualities that emphasize gameplay skill over random luck. While there are many other Tetris games, the original Nintendo legend is what competitors refer to when laying down Tetris challenges. NES games and games for every platform thereafter all owe a debt of gratitude to Tetris for creating their market.Tetris games are almost always one of the first games created for any platform, from graphing calculators to mobile phones. It is considered as one of the all-time classic video games since its release date in November 1989. It's beloved by both adults wanting a nostalgic way to pass time and younger gaming fans who want to experience what old-school gaming is like. It is still the high watermark for simple and easy-to-understand games that have an addictive and challenging quality as well. | |

Good graphics
Compelling gameplay
Good value
Perfect
Included the game, manual, and a case. Combined together, that is a great value for such a low price. As for condition, the manual looks almost like it has never been used, and the game had virtually no dust on the connectors. The case is a nice addition and makes the value more worthwhile. Not only did it arrive in an excellent state, but it also came earlier than expected.

I can't believe it's here.
First time buying something online so I was really worried about the shipping but it got here. The cartige looks amazing and is in great condition, I haven't played yet because I'm waiting for the console to show up but when it does I'm going to get right on it. I would definalty recommend, the price is worth it since it's so hard to get the old cartriges, especially during the whole covid thing. The reviews and selling stats don't lie. I'm personally playing because of the CTWC and CTM thing, for anybody whondering it's competitive tetris, it's actuay pretty neat and it happens once year and it's happening right now.

Original Tetris
Lots of variants have been made of this game during past decades, but this is one of the first ones, if not the first. If you like any Tetris, you'll like this one too. The only downside compared to some other versions is that the music might get dull soon. The music can be chosen among three pieces that probably were included by the Soviet developers back in the day, so don't expect any modern kind of music.

Tetris (Nintendo)
Originally developed on a Russian DCC clone PDP Computer by a humble employee of the Moscow Academy of Sciences, Alexey Pajitnov's mega hit succeeds where other puzzle games have failed: by keeping it simple. Seven blocks, known as Tetraminoes, and one empty "well" quickly translate into hopeless addiction. There are few games that haunt you even after you stop playing -- but 30 minutes with this puzzle masterpiece and you'll see Tetris pieces wherever you look. No matter what platform it's on, Tetris remains one of the purest and accessible videogames ever made, proving that some of the most addictive games are the simplest.
Tetris Nintendo Game
I had misplaced my Tetris game and could not find it. So, I searched eBay and there is was and also at a good price. I think they make the game for all systems but I'm not sure. It is one of the most fantastic games, especially if you like puzzle games. Just fit the blocks together to make a line and it will disappear, but don't get too close to the top or you will lose because you will run out of room. Save up four lines and the screen flashes and you get extra points. Of course the game goes faster and faster as the levels go up. You also have two games in one. One you start from the first line and move up or game two, blocks are already there. You'll have three different tunes to listen to and one is classical or you can turn off the music. After you win a level, you'll get a surprise. You won't be disappointed with this one, I guarantee. It is also great for any age and will work your hand and eye coordination to the limit. You must own one for your game system, it is a classic. I can't live without my Tetris and was so glad to find it on eBay. The first NES games are not sold at the stores and are collector's items now.
