| Nintendo's hugely popular fighting series returns with a host of characters, stages, and customization options in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. As always, players take control of heroes and villains from across the gaming universe as they smash, brawl, and launch one another around stages based primarily on handheld games. The cast of characters includes series mainstays Mario, Kirby, and Pikachu, as well as Mega Man, Sonic, and the Wii Fit Trainer, and gamers can use Poké Balls, Assist Trophies, and special items to help them in battle. In the Classic mode, solo gamers take control of characters and guide them along a variety of paths on an overworld map, and engage in one-on-one battles, team battles with the CPU filling out both sides, and matches where players must defeat waves of foes, or take down a whole team. Gamers can earn gold, trophies, and custom parts by winning matches, and they can use gold to up the intensity level before future matches and earn larger rewards. Single players can also take on three stadium-based mini-games, with gamers trying to knock Sandbag as far as possible in Home-Run Contest, defeating as many opponents as they can in Multi-Man Smash, or launch a ticking bomb at targets in the Target Blast mode. Multiplayer action remains a huge part of the Super Smash Bros. experience, with up to four random players competing online in the For Fun and For Glory modes. For Fun matches include all items and take place on randomly selected stages, while the For Glory mode takes place only on flat Final Destination stages, with no items appearing. Gamers can also customize their rules as they battle only buddies in the With Friends mode, and 3DS gamers get the labyrinth-exploring Smash Run mode. In Smash Run, players have five minutes to head into playing fields to explore, battle enemies, and collect power-ups. When time expires, gamers take their collecting power-ups and boosts into traditional battles. | |

Super Smash Bros 3DS is a great, competitive, fast paced fighting game with two game modes for online play. For Glory mode is serious with no random elements (items and stage obstacles) and For Fun is casual with random elements. And you can play with people nearby. This game is impossible to master. I can beat a team of two maximum level AI fighters but I usually can't beat one For Glory player. The single player is also fun, except it doesn't have any thing like Super Smash Bros Brawl's Subspace Emissary, but unlocking characters, trophies, stages, etc. is still very satisfying.

Great game!
Really great game. Has new modes that are challenging and keeps you busy and keeps you entertained. Smash Run, one of my favorites so far. Also like how SSB3DS made Sonic the Hedgehog stronger and faster, and the fact they brought back Mewtwo. I like this game so far. It has way better move set mechanics than in Brawl

Great value for a game with near endless possibilities for fun.
The game is great trust me, I've already put over 50 hours into playing the game in less than a month and I still have a list of fun things I want to do in the game. This game has it all, you can customize your mii fighters with unlockable costumes and hats as well as change the move-sets and stats of all the fighters you earn as well as purchase. However I have to say the best part about this new addition to the Smash Bros. Series I'd have to say is the new "Smash Run" game mode. This game mode allows players to adventure through large map, killing enemies from various different games in order to boost your characters stats in preparation for a randomly chosen event that could either be a race to the finish line or something as ridiculous as a fight with millions of Mr. Saturns spawning everywhere. It's almost exactly like the City Trials mode in Kirby Air Ride (if you've ever played that) except this time you play as a smash character fighting enemies instead of frantically breaking as many boxes as you can.

Great game, but falls short of WiiU version
Game was in excellent condition, however, I would not buy it becuase of how much is lacking compared to the WiiU version of this game. Expensive DLC.

Came as described.
It came exactly as you described it. But the only thing I did notice which isnt much a big deal Is that the manual shows signs of use. All that aside I tested the game out and was working pretty well.
