Good deal
It works perfectly on my Samsung smart tv, I bought 2 wired controllers and am swimming in nostalgia. There was a sizeable chip in the power cord however, I was worried it may not work, but it did. ☆Update☆ It worked well at first, but the connection was incredibly weak due to the cord that hooks up to the tv being severely damaged. I assume I can find & buy a new one, but that was pretty disappointing. My game blacked out more than once before I figured out a way to keep it in properly, sort of...

Excellent condition & matched the photos.
Overall excellent condition, especially for being almost 2 decades old. It matched the photos and started up fine, though I'm still waiting on a controller and memory card but I'm sure the ports will work normally as well. I gave it a light cleaning and I opened it up and the inside looked great as well with a minor amount of dust and the ribbon cables looked good too; the warranty seal was still unaltered so it seems as if it was a well taken care of console by the previous owner(s). The only missing component was the expansion bay cover (the photos showed it was missing too so no points lost there) but I'm also adding a network adapter so it was of no concern.

All good on my end.
Recieved as expected, looks exactly like what was pictured. I was mainly worried it wouldn't be the SCPH-39001 number listed since I intend to mod it, but it's the right one. The DVD tray is a little slow to open, but seems to work fine otherwise and I may even be able to fix that myself if I need to. It recognizes my controllers and memory card, and video outputs to my monitor just fine. I'm waiting on other orders before I can fully use it, but I don't expect to have any trouble based on what I've seen so far.

A working console for $84, now I can play the old games.
The disc tray was broken as described, I replaced it easily. It had a hard time reading the memory card for some reason and I will have to try some fixes.

Awesome product. Use it almost every day. Great value for the money
It has been 12 years since the Playstation 2 was released and is still supported. But the Playstation 2 (NTSC - SCPH-50001) from what I have seen is the best value money can buy. This was the last model before switching over the slim model,The reason I bought this model was that it has all the updates that the slims had when it came out in 2004, when it came to the drivers, and the IR port for the DVD remote. The 2nd reason I brought this version of the PS2 was by the way it looks. Its big easy to fix (if needed) and has a tray based disc drive (easy to replace or repair). Also has a expanded bay for a hard drive (for saved games that support it). Also already said the last model before he slim. Another cool thing was that the PS2 is that it can play PS1 games along with PS2 games which most people already know. Overall this is a great version of the PS2 for it being last and all around.
