Why would anyone buy the DVD model?!!!
After having played the interactive DVD/board game version for years, I can't believe how horrible that format was. The video game format is 1000x more enjoyable. There are tons of game categories (audio clips, video clips, missing items, billboard identification, et al). The graphics are cool and the game itself is so much more fun than the old school board version. This is a great game to pass time with friends and family. It covers all genres and years, so everyone can partake in it. There are a couple things wrong with the game though. The interface with the controller is difficult to get used to, especially for family/friends who don't own a PS3. When presented with multiple choice questions, the answers are listed with the shape icon (triange, square, circle, x) next to them. On categories where you have to answer the fastest, it can be difficult for them to find which button correlates to which symbol. Instead of listing the answer choices in a single column, I think they should have listed them on a diamond pattern, positioned just like the controller's buttons. Then, you wouldn't have to see the answer with the triangle and look for the button that shows the shape. Instead, you would just push the button in the same area as the answer is displayed on the screen. I'm the PS3 owner, so I have no problems. But other non-users/owners would hit the wrong button 25-50% of the time. Another problem I'm having is with one category where it seems to show that the wrong answer is selected, even when the correct answer was picked. Maybe we don't understand the category correctly, but it seems to make a mistake 50% of the time! PROS: No more DVD and board. No more waiting for the next DVD track to load or having to use a remote control to make selections. Fun interactive game for all ages. Many categories and tons of different questions. CONS: If you have never used a PS3 before, the controller will be difficult to navigate. The quirky category that claims you picked the wrong answer!
Multiplayer Scene-it that tries too hard to be a video game
The game in general is alright, however there are limitations to being a console game, such as all trivia questions being multiple choice giving lucky guessers a decent edge. If what is expected is a Scene-it PS3 game, well, that's exactly what it is. Tons of extras for purchase if that's your thing, but personally I would've loved an online multiplayer option to play with friends and family in faraway places. There's quite a bit of fluff to the release (the host's crummy puns for one), however most of it can be trimmed in the settings.
Great Party game
For family or party it's a blast!

fun social game for all
It's a creative idea, I wish I though of creating a movie qoute game. The scoring is similar to the trivia bar games, I wish it was a bit more like jeopardy scoring so that only one person gets the correct answer and you have the daily double chances to beat the opponent.
