Product Information | |
A conversion of the 1990 arcade game, Pit-Fighter for Super NES features a choice of three male fighters who agree to compete in an 11-round underground tournament. Buzz is a wrestling expert whose specialty is chokeholds, while Ty is a kickboxer who primarily uses his feet to stun opponents. The final contestant, Kato, is a karate master who relies on jump kicks and roundhouses to knock out the competition. Pummel hooded "executioners," leather-clad bikers, and other colorful characters into submission, while going for both knockout and brutality bonuses at the end of each round. Your ultimate goal is to reach an elimination match against the game's champion, a mysterious brawler known only as the Masked Warrior. Play against the computer or team-up with a friend for simultaneous brawling in the two-player mode. | |

Good graphics
Compelling gameplay
Good value
Absolutely terrible. Worse than Shaq-Fu. If you get it, get it cheap!!
I played this game way back in the day and I wanna say it was released before Street Fighter II. That being said, it was a great game for its day and was definitely one of the top quarter munchers for its time. Also one of the first fighting games to use digitized graphics. Sure its cheesy and doesn't really stand the test of time as well as other games but it is still pretty fun to play even to this day. Pit-Fighter for the Super Nintendo, I'm sorry to say, is one of the worst games ever made. I don't know how a pile of crap like this can make it past quality assurance. The sounds are aweful, and the game is virtually impossible to control. I bought this game off a friend for 5 bucks when I was in high school and struggled with it for hours. I want the oxygen back I wasted on yelling and cursing at this game. Obviously the arcade is the best version to play, but if you want to play a decent home version of this game, then pick up the Sega Genesis version. That version is MUCH more enjoyable and the gameplay very reminiscent of the arcade version.
very good for the price okay game!!
very good for the price the Atari lynx has better graphics and was uncensored!!! get the lynx version if you want the best one besides the arcade version!!!

Not alot to say
I remember playing this when I was a kid so I bought it for memory's. Now when I remember playing it, it was the coolest thing. What the hell was I thinking! Pointless fighting then you go into a crowd where you can't see anything. All just to be lifted up on a forklift with money under it. How sad. If your going to get this game get it for cheap and I mean cheap. So that way when you buy it and play it you be like "this sucks" and then say "whatever" then Just play something else and you won't care because it only cost you 2 dollars or something. Then again you could get 2 double cheeseburgers with that. It's your call. :) 2 out of 5 Pros: Classic and so bad you might find some laughs. Cons: Lame fighting & almost everything.
annoying game play
Tough to play and does not keep my attention.
