"Insane Cinimatics"
I remember this game absolutely blew my mind when I was kid. It was the first carts in memory that had rotoscoped character animation with movie-like cut scenes and general character animation - on the SNES?!? Of course, when I was younger I had no idea about any of the above aside from the game looking and playing like no other game on the SNES. The music and overall sound deisign is great as well. This game is pretty much a try and diie puzzle solving cart... kinda like LIMBO in a way. Equally alone in a weird place, except eventually you have an alien on your side helping you along the way and have to team up in parallel action to solve certain puzzles. Pretty solid, some of it is pretty hard (i.e.: the tank) but I'm happy to play this game again!!

"When Programmers Loved Their Work"
You can tell this project was a labor-of-love from beginning to end. I hadn't played the original version until much later ("Another World" PC), but it was obvious that a LOT of time and effort was put into finding ways to transport the player to another place and keep him/her there. By Super Nintendo standards of the time, gaming artwork was a bit rare. But it can be described as nothing short of that. Some might say it's not up to today's gaming standards. It depends on what you value in your gaming experience. Times have changed gaming, not entirely for the better. This game was one of the better projects during a time when the "experience", not to mention the "challenge", was what mattered most. A game requiring truckloads of patience. Seriously, more-than-one-truckload. But it was treasured by some for that very reason.

A game that was ahead of its time on many levels.
Out of this World for the SNES a early console action/adventure game. This was one of my favorite games growing up. The game has its origin on the PC and was pretty much created by one man Eric Chahi. He did the Design,Programing, Sound and Artwork for the game. It was the first game to included cinematic cutscenes and in 1992 they were amazing. In the game you play the role of the Ferrari driving nuclear scientist Lester Knight Chaykin. Lester is transported to "Another World" (the orginal European name of the game) Thanks to a freak lighting strike on Lesters particle acceleration experiment. In a flash you and large portion of the room are transported away to a hostile planet trying to kill you from second one. If you have not played this game before you will likely die in the first few seconds of play, dragged to a watery grave. If you manage to survive and escape the pool simply lingering around to long can get you killed again. This game is unforgiving in that regard. You will die a lot but figuring out how to survive is really satisfying. Its a lot of trial and error but you are always treated to rather different and creative cutscene deaths or animations. This game was ahead of its time on so many levels. Even the ending was untypical of games even today yet alone back in the early 1990s it was ground breaking in my opinion. I sadly never owned this game growing up just rented it a bunch of times back when VHS rental stores existed. But finding a Copy of Ebay still in the original box with instructions and game all in superb condition just made me dust off me SNES and relive the glory SNES days
Out of This World "SNES"
Out of This World is considered a cult classic, and with good reason. Although it may have passed under the radar for many gamers after its debut, it is a must have for fans of the super Nintendo. You play as a young scientist named Lester, and during an experiment you are teleported to another world. What follows is a compelling puzzle platformer featuring intense laser battles, solid platorming, and impressive rotoscoped graphics seen in few games at the time. Expressive and moody music and environments convey the tone of the game phenominally. The game can be difficult at times, as some of the puzzles are a bit tricky, but it is never unforgiving. Frequent checkpoints, and a password system ensure this. Out of this world will draw you in as few SNES games can, ensuring a satisfying experience after every play.
Out of This World
The protagonist of the game is Lester Knight Chaykin; a young, athletic, red haired physicist. Lester arrives at his high-tech underground laboratory during a thunderstorm, and continues to work on his experiment using a particle accelerator. Right before the particles reach their intended destination, lightning strikes the lab and interferes with the accelerator causing the unforeseen teleportation of Lester to a barren alien planet. After evading a number of dangerous local animals, Lester is enslaved by a race of humanoid aliens and taken to a subterranean mine/prison system. With the help of a captive alien, Lester tries to escape, and must continue to evade capture whilst travelling through dangerous environments, battling wild creatures and solving numerous puzzles to survive natural hazards.
