Nintendo Wii U controller
"When Nintendo launched the original Wii, it came with a controller like no other; the slim, light Wiimote was designed for simplicity, with a focus on motion-based gaming. With the Wii U GamePad, Nintendo goes in a completely different direction, with a large tablet-like controller with a 6-inch touchscreen at its center. Depending on the game, the screen can be used to control certain gaming functions, or mirror the action taking place on your TV, letting you play while using the TV for something else. The controller can also be used as a universal remote, and has a camera to let you insert your face into games. The GamePad, which includes a full-range of standard game controls in addition to the touchscreen, "feels at once futuristic and comfortable, less like an ersatz tablet and more like a really comfortable (but big) game controller with a helpful screen," according to Joystiq. Although the screen is low-resolution, Joystiq says that "Wii U games running on the GamePad screen look almost as good as they do on the TV, and playing exclusively on the GamePad feels perfectly natural." Time likes the GamePad's ability to work as a secondary display, or mirror game action directly, and says that the Wii U "is about what you can do if you make one of the screens your TV, then snap off the other and let it wander around a room." The biggest issue facing the GamePad may be battery life. With just 3 1/2 hours between charges, the GamePad may not be the best option for marathon gaming sessions, though it can be used while it's charging " - engadget

Wiiu gamepad
The wiiu gam pad feels lightweight and is, but surprisingly durable. It's a good controller for kids and adults. The screen on the device allows you to play games or watch Netflix while someone else uses the tv. Or if you like me take it to bed when your sick and still watch shows. It's ergonomic and buttons are placed well. The material however is easy to notice any finger prints or otherwise so it'll make you want to clean it pretty regularly .

Bulky but not bad
I'm afraid mine arrived without a stylus, so I saw fit to salvage my old Wii U stylus. Hopefully, the pad will not become prone to a sticky joystick as before; I'll take care to keep it clean. The design is mostly familiar, so I can forgive the multiplicity of buttons. My biggest difficulty is in remembering where the plus and minus are with regard to each other, as well as remembering whether to hit L or ZL and R or ZR. I'm rather impressed that the pad comes with a camera, a microphone, and even a breath sensor. Not many games make good use of all these features, tho. Some games require this rather than another Wii U controller. When I've downloaded a game originally made for the Nintendo DS, even if it doesn't call for much use of the stylus, I prefer to look at the tiny screen rather than my TV. Sometimes I'll use the tiny screen just to avoid the trouble of readying the TV. This is remarkable given my past distaste for handheld games.

Good, but with few issues.
So far everything seems to work fine. I would of given it a 5 star but the gamepad didn't come with a stylus, and the one I got from my old one doesn't like to stay in it. Also, the recharging stand doesn't seem to work. I can plug the charger into the gamepad directly and it charges it up fine. But not through the dock. Which is strange because I tried it on my old Gamepad and it was charging it. So I'm not sure what's the issue. Also a minor note, the excess plastic around the screw holes can be slightly annoying when I brush up against them but otherwise it's fine.
