|Remarques du vendeur :||“This is a very nice, very clean camcorder. It works great as far as I can test it but I don't have a Mini DV Tape to test the tape mechanism. It does open and close properly. It does not include a battery but does include the AC Power Pack do it can be run on AC power. It also includes the battery charger and an SD Card. Batteries are readily available from many sellers on eBay for very good prices.”|

Easy to use
Good image quality
Decent pictures, easy to use but...
I previuously bought a JVC GR DVM90 camcorder from an outside source. I paid twice as much as I did on eBay and it didn't come with any of the standard features. I.E.; battery charger, docking station, firewire, etc... I then purchased this second JVC GR DVM90 from eBay. Not only was it cheaper, but it included everything and was in much better condition. The camcorder itself is decent enough. It shoots quality movies and is very easy to use. It's cool having two of the same camera especially when shooting the same footage but from two different views. There is one problem though, and from what I've heard, is common with JVC camcorders. It will not operate with any non-JVC mini-dv tapes. You will get an error message (E4)and the camera will shut down. I contacted JVC about this and they confirmed it by telling me that I needed to use ONLY JVC tape. Overall, this is a good beginners camcorder, although I would strongly recommend avoiding any JVC camcorder due to the tape issues. I'm now ready to move up to a prosumer quality camera like the Sony DCR VX2100 camcorder.
More than a consumer camera
I have several JVC DVM80 and DVM90 cameras. I own a small company that makes TV commercials and use these cameras for multiple camera shoots. They are easy to set up and produce professional quality video. And if something happens to one of them I am not out a lot. It would kill me to loose my Canon XL2 so if it is a risky shoot I use the little JVC's It is hard to tell the difference in quality between these little cameras and the professional quality Canon. I have purchased several of these cameras on EBAY and have never regretted it. It has been reported that this camera has a problem with non JVC tapes. When I got the first DVM80 I had a similar problem but discovered that if you tap lightly on the cassette door and then restart the camera the problem goes away. I suspect that there are sensing pins in the cassette mechanism that do not fully operate with some cassettes. Tapping seems to solve the problem. It is not necessary to hit the camera hard, just a light couple of taps with the index finger does the job. A Strange but minor foible for an otherwise nice camera.
One great camera.
My brother had bought this camera two years back and is still using it. I compared the quality between this camera and my camera (JVC GZ-MC200) and this camera GRDVM90 is much better than a newer camera. If you are looking for quality then this is one of the cameras to buy.
