A fiction story for little girls ages from 10 years on up that has had a great affection for her doll, or dolls. Little girls love their dolls and they give them a personality all their own. Hitty is an intelligent little doll that hangs out with this little girl down through the years. A reader will forget it's a doll narrative because it is so well written. It tells of their years together, what all they did and whether or not Hitty was happy or sad over the events. The little girl grows up, now Hitty is left alone and ends up in an antique shop. Heartwarming with a sense of Hitty's values that will benefit every little girl that reads it.

Sweet book written by a doll named Hitty. She is now in an Antiques store, and she writes her memoir since she was made (carved by a man) one hundred years earlier. She has several owners, and each adds to her life.

I am not a doll person but I adore HITTY and all her adventures, in this book she becomes a real person! I buy these books at reasonable prices and then share them with others. Great children’s novel
The best part of this new berry ward winning book is that there are Hitty Dolls available to go with it. It’ was American Girl before American girl! The one pictured below was made from a Gail Wilson Designs kit. What a great alternative to another video game or fashion doll.

Old Fashioned story that is delightful to read today as well.
Wonderful old time story, I think I read it over 50 yrs. ago as a child. Delightful and well done. Very enjoyable to revisit and for young readers, a treat.
