| A group of interstellar outlaws team up to save the galaxy from a villain who seeks ultimate power in this comic book space adventure from Marvel Studios and director James Gunn (SLITHER, SUPER). Peter Quill was just a young boy when, devastated by his mother's death, he sprinted out of the hospital and was swept into the stars by Yondu (Michael Rooker), the leader of an eclectic band of space scavengers known as The Ravagers. Twenty-six years later, Quill has adopted the nickname Star Lord (Chris Pratt). He's broken away from The Ravagers in an attempt to track down an ancient orb that is also coveted by the evil Ronan (Lee Pace), who is in league with the dreaded Thanos, and who dispatches his top assassin Gamora (Zoe Saldana) to retrieve it from Star Lord. In the process of doing so, Gamora also gets drawn into a fight with furry bounty hunter Rocket (voice of Bradley Cooper) and his tree-like, humanoid companion Groot (voice of Vin Diesel). Subsequently thrown into prison, this unlikely quartet quickly makes the acquaintance of fearsome warrior Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), who seeks bitter revenge for the slaughter of his entire family at the hands of Ronan. In the process of making a daring prison break, Star Lord, Gamora, Rocket, Groot, and Drax recover the orb, and transport it to The Collector (Benecio Del Toro), who reveals that it houses an Infinity Gem - one of six precious stones that harbors incredible powers that could pose a dire threat should they fall into the wrong hands. Later, Ronan acquires the Infinity Gem and plots to use its power to destroy The Nova Corps home-world of Xandar, The Guardians of the Galaxy must race through the stars to recover it before Ronan can carry out his genocidal plan. | |

Nice futuristic adventure of misfits joining together to form a family. It has enough special affects and action to keep the film rolling. The story line is simple to understand without going into complex character situations. The language and violence is strong, a good aduit movie, not for the kiddies. Movie ended with a possible plot for a second movie. If the second movie would come out would I see it? yes.

Could not watch bad quality bootleg ,copy dvds
The quality viewing was blurry of both DVDs I have seen them movies before and wanted to add them to my collection. They are great movies but these were awful they were copies that made them a bad quality . Could not watch more then a few mins of both. From the case to the jacket cover one dvd was connected to the front inside. Item was not of retail store value more like a cheap copy knock off.

Good ole cowboy and Indian fun
We enjoyed this movie. Just like the ole westerns of the past. Good guys, bad guys and the girl gets him. I think Platt might have a career in movies. He is funny, action oriented, and good looks. This is a fun movie.

Shockingly magnificent
This movie was the complete and total opposite of what the trailers made it seem. The trailers gave the impression that this movie had no direction, and it seemed incredibly weird. Despite the misleading trailers, this movie turned out to be one of Marvel's greatest movies. The story was great, the special effects and CGI were even better, and it was absolutely entertaining. Drax the Destroyer, played by Dave Batista, was so funny with how literal he was. People who are literal usually are not funny, but Drax the Destroyer perfected it. Groot, played by Vin Diesel, was a tall wooden idiot, but he has a violent side to him that cannot be matched. Rocket Raccoon, played by Bradley Cooper, was also extremely funny. But Rocket Raccoon was also intelligent, and he used it to create new innovative weapons and plans on the spot in order to get him what he wanted. This movie also did an excellent job leading up to the Infinity War that is going to happen in the upcoming Avengers Infinity War movies in 2018 and 2019. This was a nice addition to the Marvel collection.

A fun superhero movie
If you like the surge of superhero movies that have been coming out the past 10 years, you will enjoy this one as well. The characters are funny, the storyline is entertaining and it hits all the right bases.
