Square-Enix adds a chapter to its popular Final Fantasy Tactics sub-series with The Sealed Grimoire. The game features the same basic setting and story points laid out in the first Final Fantasy Tactics, which conquered U.S. PlayStations in 1998 and was later converted to best-selling releases for Game Boy Advance (2003) and PlayStation Portable (2007). Final Fantasy Tactics A2 for DS is considered a direct sequel to the GBA's Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, with new characters, new clans, and a new, over-arching single-player campaign through the world of Ivalice. In fan-familiar form, players begin by taking the role of a young, earnest but disaffected youth in the real world, who is mysteriously transported to the high fantasy land of Ivalice: a place populated by medieval human-like "Humes," reptilian warriors called Bangaa, bunny-eared " Viera" who excel at archery, magic-savvy "Moogles," and other fantasy races, where clans of adventurers protect their territories and settle their scores through turn-based battle on grid-lined battlefields. As they move through the game's storyline and face increasingly difficult squads of opponents, players have opportunities to gradually draft a large team of adventurers, from which the participants in future battles may be selected. Clan warfare and Judgment rules are as important as ever, and many of the game's challenges involve gaining and defending clan territory while trying to avoid regionally outlawed attack moves or magic types. The Sealed Grimoire also offers special compatibility with Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. When the DS game is played with a copy of the GBA game in the bottom cartridge slot, players gain access to additional options and abilities. |

A2 is an RPG that strings together turn based battles, typically assigned to your clan by doing quests. As you complete these quests and random encounter you can experience, items, currency and even more clan members. Doing the quests also moves the game along through the story line. As the game progresses you have a variety of quests to pick from and variety of characters to use to complete the quests. This is a rather detailed and content filled game for the DS. The game has it own 'terms' that can be difficult to follow at times. In addition the turn based battles have restrictions placed on them that are NOT clearly defined. Overall, I am happy with the game and would recommend it to any one who enjoys turn based fight games.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift
If you like the 'Final Fantasy' series and liked the 'Final Fantasy Tactics' for Playstation, this IS a must have game. Or if you don't know FFT, this game is still a great experience for you. In 'Final Fantasy Tactics A2' you start as Luso a normal boy that suddenly finds himself joining a clan and engaging a giant ferous bird, surrounded by a world full of magick, creatures and different races, such as the well known Moogles and the new Grias. As you progress you'll get new members on your clan and will be able to change their professions, as well as yours. Each profession, over 50, has a different stats growth and different skills making this game really fun to work on. The skills you get by learning from weapons/armors/acessories, those you can buy on shops. Getting new equipment requires you to use a new feature that take your loot from battles to forge it and make it avaiable for buying. Also note that this is a Stragegy/RPG game that works on square-based movement and speed-based turns, faster units acts more often, and your actions on each turn also changes how fast you'll act again. This may scare some new players but, after a while it becomes pretty simple. Great effects and scenarios, LOTS of quests to do, and a pretty good story. Another Square-Enix Great Game.

The item description was on point. I mean I expected slight exaggeration when people claim brand new and things like that. The game I expected new but the book to be so crisp and nice as well was great to see. Thanks for taking care of these items!

One if my top 5 favorite games
It's a hair childish in the beginning, but it's a masterfully crafted tactics games by an extremely well renowned creator. Not only does the depth of customization allow you to authentically choose your adventure, it's also well implemented and balanced. The only issue I have is the ui and the many many options screens, but that pretty standard for final fantasy games and RPGs in general. Dont let that stop you from buying this game if you're interested.

Final Fantasy A2 Grimoire of the rift
A game that I owned and got rid of about a few years ago, and decided i wanted the game again. Still one of the best final fantasy tactical games in the series. I hope Square Enix day releases another Final Fantasy tactical turn based rpg again in the future for the nintendo 3ds. I love this game has so much charm
