Terrible product. Won't pick up anything larger than the size of 2 grains of rice... in a house with kids, this is the worst vacuum ever. The spinning brush sends particles flying. It only picks up from the end that's farthest away from you. If there is a particle on the floor between you and the vacuum, the back and forth vacuuming motion will send it flying behind you instead of sucking it up. This is my THIRD Dyson, so I know from Dysons and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this machine to anyone! On the plus side, I haven't had any issues with how long it runs. I live in a 1300 square foot house and there's enough juice to vacuum the whole place...it's just not particularly clean when I'm done! I've literally moved back to using a broom. A BROOM!!! It gets "stuck" on the carpet, it doesn't pick up anything that's near the edges of the wall or stairs, the attachments cause it to lose suction, and the canister pops open whenever it feels like it, sending all the collected dirt flying. Seriously the worst piece of garbage that Dyson has EVER made. I LOVED the DC14 but I thought I'd like the "ball" better. So I bought the DC65 and it was not better - it was heavy AF and didn't maneuver any better than the DC14 did... then we decided to go super lightweight and get THIS P.O.S. Now I'm on the hunt to find a brand new original DC14. SAD! SAVE YOUR MONEY! This vacuum is garbage.
Dyson V8 Cordless Vacuum - refurbished
The only issue we have is the V8 online came with 2 vacuum heads standard and we were anticipating the same on the refurbished unit, but only received one. The price on the refurbished unit was good, but we feel short changed, it wasn't apples vs apples. This our second Dyson cordless, we had one of the first models. The unit (V8) itself is great, more power, longer use-time. Based on the vacuum's performance we also purchased a Dyson Fan

Great Buy
Works great, Dyson doesn't sell junk. Love the battery life BUT remember to take it off max suction when first out of the box, battery has a shorter run time but normal suction is more than enough, then it'll last a good 1/2 hour with the power head. Highly recommended for hardwood, slate and vinyl floors. Not so much on carpet depends on the pile height, ours is very deep. Highly recommended.

Good product, but low battery life
I like my vacuum cleaner much, however the battery life is poor. Getting about 15 to 20 minutes work and waiting 5 hours for a recharge is not efficient. It is a shame they don’t have an easily interchangeable battery. Maybe they will catch up to some of the opposition some day. In hindsight, I would have gone with a vacuum cleaner that has an interchangeable battery as 1 st priority

Excellent machine, but battery life is poor for long use
Excellent overall. Cleans better than expected. Only beef is that the battery life is too short. The newer models have better batteries apparently. If you only have a small amount of area to do, this vacuum is fine, but more than 20 min with the power head and its dead. Gotta do my place in over a couple of charges.
