Product Information | |
Grab your controllers and show off your martial arts moves with “Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones.” This 1991 fighting game caps off the “Double Dragon” series on the Nintendo Entertainment System. It sends Billy — sometimes called "Bimmy" — and Jimmy Lee on one last mission to save Marion. Unlike some other NES games, this is not a port despite the similarity to the “Double Dragon III: Rosetta Stone” arcade game. In addition, unlike the Japanese version, there is only one ending, regardless of how you get to it. Fighting follows the classic punch and kick paradigm, and you can take advantage of two gameplay modes, either with or without the chance of friendly fire. | |

Good graphics
Compelling gameplay
Good value
Loads intermittently but at least it loads!
My husband loves the first version of this game so I ordered all 3. This one came in it took 4 tries but it loaded. It loads intermittently but once it’s on it stays on so for the age of the game you cannot expect more. Just happy it works!!! Fast shipping

So far so good
I only played each game once. It took a lot of patience and cleaning to get the both games to work. It was Nostalgic but they both froze on me during game play at a point so I have tried to play since.

Well made game
It is very fun but you only have one life. You will start all over again once you die.

Tough but playable if you're good.
I played this game all the time as a kid; I never beat it. You have more moves than in either of the other DD games, but for most part, you find yourself resorting to the DD II spin kick. DD III is frustrating because it has such a steep learning curve, and you have no lives. That said, the enemies and levels are more interesting and diverse than in the game's predecessors. You also get an extra "super" spin kick if you play the two player mode. Overall, I like this game more than DD I but less than DD II.
Ordered a long time ago and forgot to review. Thanks for the game man!
