Inspired by such hits as Konami's Dance Dance Revolution, Activision's Dancing with the Stars offers 36 licensed songs and optional support for dance mat peripherals. Based on ABC's weekly dance competition, Dancing with the Stars features nine previous celebrity contestants, including Emmitt Smith, Stacy Keibler, Mario Lopez, and Joey Lawrence. The couples must perform the cha-cha, tango, mambo, samba, rumba, foxtrot, waltz, and other dances. Players will follow each routine by moving their feet (or the controller) in the same directions as the arrows displayed on screen. After the performance, the television show's three judges will offer their critique. Featured songs include "Put Your Records On," "I Like the Way You Move," "She's a Lady," "These Boots Were Made for Walking," and "The Final Countdown." In addition to the single-player game, two-player support is available in both head-to-head and duet modes. |

This game definitely gets you to work up a sweat. I don't care for the set up in comparison to to the DDR games, which I've learned on and worked with for many years now. I can get used to it though, and like the ability to play as different characters with different dance steps. I also like the music.
Dancing with PS2
I really like dancing and this game is an excellent way to indulge in my passion for dancing, even without a partner. The graphics are very good and stay pretty true to the TV show. The learning curve is not bad at all. The only drawback is having to purchase the dance mat. But with e-Bay all things are possible. LOL Buy it and enjoy!
Dancing with the Stars
This game is a great weight lost program. I played for two hours and got the best workout I`ve had in years. Do not get this game if you want to learn how to dance because it will not teach you. Lots of fun,great workout, as long as you have the energy.
I am emberassed to admit
Okay... I have to admit, I bought this for my wife and thought it would be something did not interest me at all... but once i tried it, it really was very fun to play... the judges are brutal and funny at the same time... The dancing is fairly easy to pick up on... on top of that, you get a pretty good work out at the same time...
The wonderful dancing with the stars ps2 game
I got Dancing with the Stars ps2 game for a Christmas present and I can't stop playing it, it is very exciting, and very inexpensive. If there is anyone who loves to dance this game would be the right game for them. I love dancing with the stars and the great thing about it is that you can get the whole family into the game.
