| Designed specifically for the Xbox 360 as enhanced title for all dancing skill levels, Dance Dance Revolution Universe offers a variety of offline features as well as competitive Internet action. For first-time players, Konami has included such gameplay modes as "How To Play," "Trial," and "Super Easy." Seasoned DDR dancers may explore a variety of action including "Workout," "Edit," "Quest," "Relay," and "Party." Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) Universe
Highly interactive game with a wide variety of music--ranging from pure techno and club to hip-hop and classic remixes. The in-game tutorial is excellent for teaching anyone that is new to this game series. Do not expect to learn how to "dance" in any form--this game is designed to challenge your eye-to-feet response, personal agility, and balance. The DDR series is great for burning calories (especially if you are holding additional weights, dumbells, or a curl bar while playing) and for having fun with friends. You can connect up to 3 or 4 dance mats on a single console for a great time with several competitors. The in-game calorie counting mechanism does not appear to be incredibly accurate or useful, but the idea of having that type of logic built into the game is a nice concept. You can quickly work up a sweat while playing DDR and continue to increase the difficulty level as you improve your dance steps to each song. In short, I highly recommend the DDR series of video games--it creates a fun atmosphere to enjoy by yourself or with several others, while working off any fast-food visits that you might have made that day ;) Enjoy!
Cool Game
I owned DDR Universe 2 first. I was hoping this game would not be much different, as I liked DDRU2. Well, it's almost the same. I thought the workout mode that counts the calories you burn while playing was new in #2, nope, it wasn't. The voiceover person says almost exactly the same things, except in this game it's a girl. In DDRU2, it's a guy. The quest mode is different. The most important thing is, however, that there are over 70+ unique songs in this version that are not in DDRU2. And I believe DDRU3 also is all new songs. You can also use the dance mat from any of the XBOX 360 versions with any game in this currently 3 part series. Fun game, good exercise. It'll keep track of those burned calories over time. It's hard to learn at first, but trust me, if you have any rhythm, you'll eventually get good at this game.

Like the title says, It's a fun game if you know what you are buying. The interface in the entire game takes some getting used to. And the "story" mode, if that's what you want to call it, is a little sketchy at times with it's unclear objectives. About the songs: There's a nice collection, not too techno heavy but there are only a few songs that people will know. But since you can find the game for a cheap price (for me it was 99 cents + 2/3 dollar shipping) it's a good find. Mine was shipped and received in a little over 48 hours :) So, if you have half-a-brain or are a fan of the series, I'd say keep an eye out for this game. 4/5
Fun for All!
This is a great "game" for the whole family. Ok, so maybe the husbands around the world won't use it but everyone else will! It's great exercise for me and the kids like to compete with one another on who's the better dancer. You can use multiple dance mats (only one comes with the bundle) so more than one person can dance at the same time. My daughter has motor-planning issues, so the Lessons portion is a good way for her to practice before moving on to the dances. So if you'd like to see your kids get some exercise as they're watching tv and you want to practice your dance moves in the privacy of your own home, this is for your family.
