Would recommend
Good value
Enjoyable
Satisfied with the overall product!
I was a little hesitant with the product due to the asking price because you sometimes LITERALLY get what you paid for. But I was surprised with what I got. The build quality was something I can probably compare with the other name brand hi-hat stands ... except for the clutch. It’s not terrible and it does the job reasonably well, but I prefer replacing it with a different clutch when you buy this. It’s it awful, but it feels behind over what you can get now n days. The height may be a issue, personally I’m fine with it. But some people might want a taller hi-hat stand, it’s average height but if you want the ability to have it insanely high you can do it with this stand. Wrapping up on the build quality factor it feels very sturdy and responsive. I did had to break it in at first, but it only took a couple of minutes. And I can use this stand for more preciseness with my feet so that’s a nice plus. However, the foot pedal feels a little small. My bass drum pedal is bigger than it but it can be overlook in a way. I wear size 11 shoes and the tip of my heel hangs off a little bit; but if you’re like me that plays with the tip of your foot and not have it rest on the entire pedal, it should bother you too much. So do I recommend this, Yes! This is a budget hi-hat that does the job remarkably well for the asking price. Feel free the look at the pictures I’ve took of the product because it needs more pictures included in my opinion.

LOL! Hey, it actually works :p
About what you'd expect for the price but it's double braced legs make it more sturdy that some others in it's price range. Id recommend this over the others on eBay for sure. If you want an extra hi-hat stand I'd grab this but do NOT recommend using it professionally. LOL. The clutch is pretty crappy too and the tubing very thin. I just wouldn't trust it on stage but if you want a backup one it'll work. I'm using it for a homemade electronic hi-hat with the GoEdrum hi-hat controller and a piezo sensor I glued to a plastic cymbal. It will get the signal to the module for recording but like I said I wouldn't trust this thing on stage with acoustic cymbals. It's somewhere in between a toy made in china and bottom tier beginners equiptment. Maybe dab some blue loctite on the internal rod connection also.

Good entry level Hi-Hat stand
While a good stand it is no where the level of the stand I have use on my main kit or the one we use at church. It is a good entry level stand - just remember it is lighter weight that will not hold up for long term on the road use.

Good Starter Stand with options for Upgrades
This stand is pretty solid. The two cast components are aluminum, not pot metal - yah! The pedal mechanism works just fine. I gave it four stars because who ever was putting mine together forgot to drill the holes where the two prongs snap into. I found a drill bit the same diameter as the pronged shaft, and a slightly smaller diameter drill bit to make a pilot hole. So I drilled out holes in the center of the two tabbed areas that stick out (you can see the hole in the photos) and the prongs snapped in just fine. Drill the pilot hole all the way through and then the final hole. It's soft aluminum so take your time and it will drill out nice. Of course that is if yours doesn't have the holes. Just expect that when you buy the less expensive products, you have little things to tweak sometimes. Besides that, for some some reason I like the stand. I bought a clutch to mount the top cymbal on, then I will take the top mount and use it for a smaller cymbal - so it will be stacked. The bottom cymbal mount does not have a metal washer for support, so I bought that as well

Great value, but could use printed instructions
I bought this high hat to complement my practice drum pads. As a novice, it took me awhile to put it together because there are no written instructions. That's common in unbranded products, according to someone I spoke with. There are several adjustment points, so I'll just have to figure them out. Used only for practice, so it fits.
