| Outdoor outfitter Cabela's continues its risk-embracing hunting series with another selection of the fiercest animals nature has to offer. Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009 puts gamers in the boots of master hunter Flint Abrams as he travels the world on a series of missions to dispatch dangerous creatures such as grizzly bears, lions, and hyenas. Players are given three weapons: a high-powered rifle for long-range attacks, a short-range gun, and an emergency sidearm, but if a shot isn't on target then gamers may have to resort to melee combat to survive. Players can use Abrams' Hunter Sense to slow time and highlight animals and their tracks, and hunting gear and accessories such as scents and animal calls are also available. But in the unpredictable world of Cabela's Dangerous Hunts, gamers must always be on alert, because the hunt may see them wading through piranha-infested waters, scrambling away from stampeding elephants, or accidentally triggering an avalanche. | |

cabela's dangerous hunt 2009
The cabela's games are totally awesome! The graphics are so realistic,and quite enjoyable. The quality of colors of scenery are right up there.Sound effects of the animals pure realistic,not grunts and snorts. I just started buying all of cabela's fishing/hunting/mixed games for my pla.sta.2 system. I have mentioned in other eviews ,that I am expanding my horizon in types of games.Not burned out,but variety is key to life :) this game is full of a good ranges of:variety of weapons-animal calls-fishing poles with great selection of lures/sinkers/flies,and much more as you unlock them. I am newish at playing these type of games,but I am very impressed with them! This game allows you to chose which type of game you want to hunt-which states/countries you feel like hunting in-picking out weapons/accessories to use and aid you in the hunt-much more I don't want to give away too much.Learning how to use each weapon-accessories-bagging your kill is NOT as easy as 1,2,3! You need to hone in your skills to get a kill. You don't just pick out where,type of animal,gear up with weapons/accessories-then instantly kill the animals! no such luck~you will EARN your kill~~so BE very PATIent ,learn the animal your hunting ways,how to track it down-clean direct kill.Or if your fishing ,again it's not 1,2,3! You need to learn about each fish habits-what they like to hit on-tighten or loosen draghow to position your rod,while landing the fish! It is a lot fo work to master these many skills,but 100% enjoyable! yep~at times you may watch your controller go flying across the room,or let a word or two go flying-or even watch your soda pop go rolling across the floor or even doing body movements as you lean into your rod as it bends-telling your spouse to "SShhh" as your tracking the biggest bear ever! This game is not boring in anyway,variety is plentiful,graphics will blow you away!

cabela's dangerous hunts 2009
this game shares some of the same characteristics of the previous dangerous hunts. the controls are good and hunts are more difficult but thats to be expected. I would like to find more cheats though, some levels are rather difficult.
