|Game Name:||Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3||Genre:||Platformer|
|Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island was a platformer originally released on the Super Nintendo in 1995. In 2002, Nintendo re-released the game on the Game Boy Advance as Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. The Nintendo GBA title is an excellent port of the SNES game, featuring all of the levels, enemies, and secrets. In Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Baby Mario and Yoshi must rescue Luigi. At the request of Baby Bowser, Luigi has been kidnapped by the evil Magikoopa called Kamek. Baby Mario and Yoshi will chase Kamek across more than 48 levels. Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 features a few gameplay changes from your typical Nintendo Super Mario Bros. game. Instead of controlling Mario, gamers are now in control of Yoshi. Baby Mario rides on Yoshi's back, flying off when Yoshi is hit by an enemy. You then need to rush to get Baby Mario back before the timer reaches zero. Like a typical Super Mario game, Yoshi can run and stomp on the heads of his enemies. However, this lovable green dinosaur has a few new tricks up his sleeve. By holding the jump button, Yoshi can hover in the air and even gain a little altitude. You can use this technique to reach new parts of a level for Yoshi and Mario to explore. Yoshi can also eat almost any enemy he comes across. Doing so turns the enemy into an egg. Yoshi can throw these eggs at his opponents or other items. At various points in the game, Yoshi can transform into other items, including a helicopter. These gameplay changes help the game stay fresh at all times.There is more to Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 than just finishing the levels in one piece. Hidden throughout each level are a number of collectibles such as flowers and red coins. Finding all of the collectibles in a level will reward you with a 100% rating, the highest rating for a stage. Complete every stage in a world with a 100% rating to unlock hidden bonus stages for Yoshi and Mario. These bonus stages will test your skills as a gamer.Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island for SNES featured beautiful hand-drawn 2D graphics. Those graphics are fully intact with Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. This Nintendo GBA port uses a brighter color palette, bringing out even greater detail. The game also features other graphical changes. For example, all of the Yoshis now have shoes that are different colors. In the original, every Yoshi on the island had the same red shoes. Some objects, such as doors, have updated graphics.The Nintendo Game Boy Advance port of Yoshi's Island also features some other minor changes as well. Some levels have redesigned elements, including boss rooms that are easier to navigate. Additionally, some of the dialogue was changed to better fit the theme of the game. The biggest change in the GBA game from Super Mario World for SNES, however, is the addition of six brand-new levels. These levels are some of the toughest found in this game. Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 on the GBA is a fantastic port of an already amazing Nintendo game.|

Nintendo Approved Quality
This game follows the decades of quality that Nintendo has produced and presented to the public. If you're a Mario fan, this one's a must-have for your collection. This port of Yoshi's Island is accurate in graphics and gameplay. Since the sound chip on the GameBoy Advance is different than that of the Super Nintendo, the music and sounds aren't exactly the same, but efforts were made to make sure the audio is as close to the original as possible (and in some cases, improved - with the exception of the fact that the GBA isn't in stereo). If you're a Mario player, get this game and add it to your collection. It's quirky chalkboard graphics and excellent gameplay make it a must-have for your collection!

Great game. Especially when its portable!
I highly recommend. Some levels can be challenging but it is worth it. Theres 6 secret levels once you beat the game unlike the Super Nintendo version. Nostalgia at its best. Great remake of the super nes classic. Also includes Mario Bros. like other Super Mario Advance games

One of my favorite games from my youth
Unfortunately, I’d only get to play it when I went to my cousin’s. Now as an adult, I finally own it! If you’re into vintage platforms to I highly recommend trying this game out

Satisfied with game in many aspects.
The game cart itself is in excellent condition with some very minor "imprints" in the label on the front, and a very minor scratch here and there, but you'd have to look for them to actually see them. These little flaws do not by any means effect the game play at all the game runs smoothly, graphics are what you'd expect with a GBA SP, to me it's a beautiful, colorful game with a lot of really fun adventures, and a good storyline. If I had to rate this 1-10 I'd say 10 as I am very satisfied overall with this game, the condition of physical cart, and fluid game play overall 100%.

Well Thought Out Game
Nintendo is widely considered to be the greatest video game developer for a reason. They consistently have high quality games. Yoshi's Island is of course high quality. The story is cute and non-important. What is important in this game is the game play. You are in control of Yoshi (a green, or blue, or red, or yellow maybe more) a dinosaur like creature that has chosen to where plumbing boots much like Mario's. Mario has been turned into a baby and you (Yoshi) have to help Baby Mario get to the castle. Yoshi has to cart Baby Mario around on his back, and if touched by an enemy becomes stunned and drops Baby Mario. Mario floats off in a bubble crying until you are able to get back to him. All this takes is the slightest touch of the bubble by Yoshi. There is a time limit that Mario can be separated from Yoshi, this depends on how much time you collect. This game mechanic sounds pretty tedious but it's not it just adds a little bit of incentive to not get hit by an enemy and instead dying like in previous Mario titles you are able to recover. A unique mechanic, no life bars or instant death. The other main mechanic unique to this game is the shooting system. Yoshi has a really long tongue and can stretch it out to eat enemies. If you push down on the d-pad Yoshi swallows the enemy and turns him into a green polka dotted egg that bounces and follows the player around. Yoshi can then by pressing the right bumber button bring up cross hairs. The cross hairs move up and down the screen in the direction the player was facing. You can set up the controls to either fire after you let go of the button or if you hit the bumber button again. It is a useful mechanic because it doesn't only help against enemies that you can't defeat by jumping on but it gives you access to secrets that you normally wouldn't be able to reach. Altogether a very satisfying game experience. I recommend it to anybody that even thinks they might enjoy it. Top notch game.
