After being fired from her housekeeping job at a luxury resort hotel, she is courted by the hunky NFL quarterback Matt Tollman (Matthew Davis). As she tries to contain the wild emotions that are threatening to overwhelm her, Anne Marie tries to come to terms with a surfing accident from her past that nearly killed her. In order to survive the contest's deadly, crushing waves, Anne Marie must reach deep within herself to find the courage necessary to come out on top. pipes over there!
This is a great movie, though a little cheesy, which is something i like about it a lot. It hits the cliches so well, i.e. the surf dudes defending their favorite break. And there are some great lines to use while surfing with your friends, like "yo, what's up with you surfing the sandbar! this isn't pipe, pipe's over there." classic. actually, the producer found a handful of the local characters in hawaii just hanging around pipeline. and how can you not a movie about hot girls ripping in bikinis to bob marley remixes? if only they hadn't tried to make it some kind of love story as well it would be better - but the first two scenes are pretty fun.

Blue Crush DVD Purchase
I have seen this movie a couple of times before and I had to buy it. Although I have never been to Hawaii, seeing this movie may be the closest that I get to being there. The scenary is fantastic as it was filmed in Hawaii. The surfing is real as well (although I am sure that they used pro-surfers for many of the scenes). Story line was okay but the scenes of Hawaii make up for the not so strong plot. If you like the ocean, waves and surfing then this is the movie for you. Very entertaining...

Blue Crush DVD
I purchased this DVD because I lost my previously owned copy. Blue Crush is one of my favorite movies and I watch it at least a few times a month! I love the scenery in the movie...how could you not enjoy a movie set in Hawaii!! This isn't an award-winning movie by any means. The acting is OK and the storyline is predictable, but it's still one of my faves! Guys and girls will like this movie; it's got the love story for the girls, and the action for the guys...not to mention surfer chicks in bikinis. I also like the movie's soundtrack. The remix of Cruel Summer is great! I would definitely recommend this movie!

Blue Crush
I feel compelled to write this review as the official critics I believe were too harsh. Not worthy of an Oscar, but it's a lot of fun and the local scenery is awesome. (I was a kamaaina.) Really good music. (I also purchased the CD.) And, girl power! Made me want to get up and work out!
