Very impressed with the craftsmanship this product. This is very thick aluminum that is not a cheap cast pot. To manufacture something like this it has to be spun on a lathe. That is time-consuming and expensive. For the lid to fit on the base without using any gasket it has to be precision. I have a granite countertop. I set the base of this on top of my granite countertop and everything was so perfect that there is a layer of air between everything and it floated on it. Worth the money
I debated on getting an All American pressure canner. I weighed the pros and cons. Looked at the cheaper brands and costed out the price of replacing gaskets. I decided to purchase this one because of the reviews on the cheaper models and the price of replacing gaskets. I am so glad I spent the extra money! This canner is well made, heavy duty and I have no problems with leaking gaskets. It will last a lifetime time.I debated on getting an All American pressure canner. I weighed the pros and cons. Amazing quality!
The All American Pressure Canner is the nicest canner I have ever owned. It is heavy, and the quality is unbelievable. The top has a substantial handle, easy to grip in order to remove the lid. I love the fact that there is no rubber gasket, it is a metal to metal seal which is one of the main reasons I purchased it. Gone are the days of fighting small handles and having to press down on the lid to remove it! The All American is easy to use, just follow the directions in the users manual. I can't say enough about the quality of the canner, sturdy, heavy, not to mention beautiful! You can instantly see the quality of the design. Even the pressure gauge looks so much better than others. Great quality product. Easy to use.
Seems to very solidly built. Hope to use this for years to come. All American 915 is a great starter size - not so big that it can't be cleaned in standard sized sink but not so small that you have to run multiple batches. Holds seven 1 qt jars which is just right for our household.
