Taking characters, enemies, locations, and moves directly from the Cartoon Network series, Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles gives gamers the chance to take the role of Naruto, a young ninja-in-training. Players navigate Naruto through such environments as Hidden Leaf Village to face and defeat the evil threatening Naruto's hometown. Gamers may defeat enemies with close-range combos and attacks, or with long-range weapons including shuriken and explosive cards, and by charging the power meter, players can unlock such special moves as Kagebunshin no Jutsu and Rasengan. Defeating a pre-determined amount of enemies launches the protagonist into a violent "berserker" mode, and allows Naruto to execute deadlier attacks. Gamers may upgrade their character by selecting from a variety of different skill cards that increase power, moves, and life. Other avatars including Sasuke, Neji, and Chouji fight along side Naruto from time to time, and when the spirit meter is full, players may switch between members in the group until the spirit level is back at zero.

The game is excellent for both new and old Naruto fans
The game has little to no spoilers to the series but has a great amount of story to it, its fighting is basic but as you progress through the story you see more challenges to face.

I was so impressed!
Let me start by saying I have no idea what this game is about or anything like that, but my kids do! My youngest son (9) was in a very bad 4 wheeler accident where he fell off of it going approx. 80 miles an hour FACE first into the road. Naturally we rushed him to the hospital. There was blood everywhere, his eye was swollen shut. Both of his hands, elbows, knees were messed up, not to mention his right hip being scraped up very badly! While he was laying on the hospital bed crying and bleeding he looked up at me with the one eye that was still open and informed me that he guess he had ruined Christmas. I explained to him that nothing was ruined, but he insisted it was because there was no way he would be getting the one thing he wanted more than anything now that we would have all these hosp. bills. Now I had already bought his Christmas presents and here he was telling me there was something else he wanted. I asked him what it was, and he told me Naruto Uzumaki Chronicles for the PS2. Once we were discharged (thank God no broken bones, just a mild concusion, lots of cuts and scrapes, but he would be ok--just needed a few months to heal---poor thing he still has a black eye and here it is February.) Anyway, the next day I started looking for this game...and looking. Every store was out (I mean this was a few days before Christmas.) so I started looking on Ebay! I was so excited when I found this seller had one, and the price was right. So I ordered it. I was so nervous it wouldn't make it here to give it to him for Christmas, but this seller is amazing!! The game made it in time!!!!! I cried when I opened the package. I can't say enough wonderful things about this seller! Without even knowing it, this seller made one hurt little boy very happy. Now, I can't get him to stop playing it. He keeps trying to explain it to me, but I don't get it. According to him, this is the best game he has ever played!!!! Thank you!!!!!!

Hokage Level Game!!
The greatest thing that happen to me and my friend one night online while researching a show that had took our saturday nights before going out was this game. Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles is a must have for any of the Naruto fans out there. To have a quest mode game to accompany the tournment fighting game tops off any game playing TV show watching addict's collection. The gameplay may be a little short if your on it 24/7 as me and my friend were but it changes the story line everytime through gameplay. Thumbs Up, Happy Buyer

Cool Game
Well i give this game a good cause it will keep you intrested there are some things that can be better like getting the control right and the power up's but the cool things is that you can use the Kyuubi power using the demon fox so it make it up. I will give it a 8 as a rating and plus I love the show. So enjoy Naruto you will love it.

i loved this game. there are so many characters to choose from. the first one is only about a 3 hour game, then it gets boring as heck... the mass amount of characters and jutsu make this game much more action packed. the moves are waaay less repetitive than the first. overall, it's just awesome.
