Satisfactory Phone; Cheaply Made
It's not quite a piece of junk, but it's a contender. It seems like it's one fall away on a plush carpet to break apart. Maybe a slight exaggeration, but you do get what you pay for, so I hear. For those with below average eyesight, the LED screen is practically useless. It does not emit a satisfying luminous green glow as several photos have shown. The screen is small and so are the options displayed on screen. If you could read the LED screen, it's quite easy learning how to navigate through the different options. The manual is easy to read and straightforward. So, that's something. You might want to think about supplementing this phone with a longer curly cord and telephone cord. If you have the phone stretched near its limit from the phone jack, you will see the phone take to flight ... It's not quite a piece of junk, but it's a contender. Good phone, no lighted display
I have always been happy with AT&T products but I was surprised to find out that the display that shows who is calling does not light up. I knew it required 4 AA batteries so you can store numbers but also assumed it had a small light in the display like the old AT&T trimline keypad that I used to have. Phone was easy to mount on wall and works well but it is very hard to read the display due to no inside light. Good Basic Phone
Purchased this phone for my elderly mother, and it is perfect for her. It is easy to use, similar to the touch-tone phones that she has used over the years. It also has some more modern features like caller id.

Review of ATT LANDLINE PHONE
1) EASY TO SET UP 2) EASY TO USE 3) SENT LIGHTNING FAST 4) ORIGINAL FACTORY SEAL ON ITEM 5) All necessary wires ( less the short one you need if your going to wall mount ) included- but don’t fret- HOME DEPOT HAS IT FOR $1.99. 6) ALL PAPER WORK INCLUDED.

Tricky setup, but well worth it
I tried putting this on the wall and was having difficulty. I digged thru the trash, found the manual and learned the following: There's a tiny plastic bit by the receiver that had to be removed and fitted in upside-down. The 'heel' of the phone needed to be taken off and replaced on the opposite end. Surprising considering the old phone worked on the wall and on a table without any of that nonsense... But the caller ID made it worth the struggleI tried putting this on the wall and was having difficulty.
