    The fourth installment of the handheld RPG series based on Capcom's Mega Man, Mega Man Battle Network Challenge 4 continues the story of the talented computer hacker Lan and his virtual persona Mega Man.EXE.<br><br>Two versions of the game are available: Mega Man Battle Network 4: Red Sun and Mega Man Battle Network 4: Blue Moon. Both versions set themselves apart from previous games in the Battle Network series by focusing on the tournament system used. By defeating cyber enemies, players may eventually find themselves in their version's final tournament, Red Sun or Blue Moon.<br><br>Two new features are available in this fourth installment, the "Soul Unison" system and the "Dark Soul" system. The "Soul Unison" system allows players to "synch up" with the souls of previously defeated opponents, to use their special abilities while fighting new opponents in the tournament. <br><br>When players find themselves in a bind, a "Dark Chip" may appear, tempting them with an easy solution. However, when these chips are used, Lan's Net-Navi (the program on his Personal Terminal that allows him to become Mega Man.EXE in the virtual world) is affected and consequences, such as the inability to perform "Soul Unisons," will occur. The more often Dark Chips are accepted, the more drastic the potential negative effects.<br><br>Other features of this fourth installment include the ability to expand the storyline of each version by linking with a friend via the Game Link cable for the GBA. In doing so, players will be able to trade programs, chips, and Net-Navis, or battle with other players of either the Red Sun or Blue Moon versions.

      Great Buy

      Everything worked great and I missed playing this game a lot, but it did not come with the box or instructions booklet. Minor issue granted, im just glad to be able to play again.

      Fourth game in and still worth it

      Now I am a particularly avid fan of Megaman and this series specifically, but I do think this game is still pretty great. There isn’t very much innovation or crazy new things in it but it isn’t boring and mundane either. The story isn’t bad either and it is full of the usual goofy humor that I have come to love about it. These are very fun games and I love the collection of cards, finding the secrets and Easter eggs as well as all the little things they shove in here. The developers show that they love these games as much as I do!

      Nostalgia based purchase

      Purchased this game for nostalgia/sentimental value since I had this game when I was younger. The game plays as expected from a game of its time. Everyone will have an opinion of the game of course but of course it will only play like a game boy game and not a Disk or cutting edge game. I am partial to this particular Capcom series and would recommend to those seeking that older “Pokémon” RPG-like atmosphere and battle oriented gameplay. Leveling and gameplay is smooth and grind based as you would expect from a game of this time. Travel and battle criteria upgraded from MBN3. The game is appreciated for what it is and enjoyed.
