Product Information
Debuting on television in 2005 as a special event, Deal or No Deal drew millions of people to NBC to watch others compete for the million dollar prize. Now, up to four people can use their "Miis" and join the action with the Wii version of the hit game show. The game features the voice and likeness of Howie Mandel, as well as beautiful models and the mysterious banker. Instead of cash prizes, winners get a briefcase with chores for the loser, such as "make my bed" and "wash the car." Deal or No Deal includes a handful of mini-games designed to round out the experience.

Deal or No Deal contains a few different modes-the TV show everyone knows about, customizable games, and quick minigames. You earn money from each mode, going into a total, that unlocks free virtual prizes at different levels. That's right, keep your money. The TV show mode is the standard game. Customizable games allow you to choose special edition shows to play, such as the Million Dollar Mission, Risky Business, and even one where you get to be the banker! Minigames are perfect for when you are low on time. They are quick games where you either play blackjack, shoot cases, or try your luck. Awards that you unlock during the game can be viewed in the awards section. There are 25 in total, and it tells you what you should do for the next awards. Whether you play the TV version or customized games, you still have to answer one question. And that question is-Deal or No Deal? If you found this review helpful, please don't forget to vote!

I have played with 9 year olds and teen agers(ALL LOVED IT). The characters are very cute and pretty realistic. It is fun for the whole family. Someone can be the banker, deciding how much to offer the players. You can have three people pick a case and take turns selecting cases elimitinating the rest of the cases. I thought that was very cool, being able to involve more than one person at a time. Check it out, you'll like it.(even if you've never seen the show)
Playing Deal or No Deal on your Wii is like watching the TV show in many ways, but ... Playing Deal or No Deal on your Wii is like watching the TV show in many ways, but less exciting in others. A good part of the excitement on the show is the different personalities and Howie's comments to the people and all the silliness. The voice of Howie Mandel is real in the game, but there's no way to have the interaction and the give and take that you have on the show. That said, if you were playing the game with other people in the room watching in 1 player mode, or playing one of the custom games with up to 5 players, the conversation on your end might supply the party atmosphere that you see on the show.
Everything is otherwise much like it is on the show, with the audience, the banker, etc. and you can play with your Mii which I thought was kind of a nice touch. The one thing I was not impressed with is the graphics. Howie looks similar to the real Howie, but there are lots of ragged edges to the graphics. They should be smooth. I'm playing on a big screen TV and using component cables, but the graphics were rough enough that I went back to check my settings to make sure that I had it set to 480p instead of 480i. For me, graphics in a Wii game don't have to be fancy, but the ragged edges are distracting. Maybe on a smaller screen it would be less noticeable. I posted some photos under the customer images, but it's kind of hard to see since they reduce the size here, but have a look anyway.
There are several options in the custom games that can be played with up to 5 players. There's a Special Event where you can have from 2 to 13 $1,000,0000 cases. There are also challenges in the 1 player mode like the Variety Ladder where your play one game of each special event type and try to win as much as you can, or Risky Business where you have to win increasingly larger amounts to keep playing. In the Banker's Challenge you play 3 games in a row against computer opponents where the first game is against one, the second against 2 and the third against 3. Again, you try to win as much as possible.
There are some mini games included such as Sharpshooter where you shoot the cases, Blackjack which plays like the card game but instead of 21 you're playing to $2,100 and instead of cards, you're dealt cases. There's also a Marathon that has you playing each mini-game in random order, trying to score as much cash as you can. It's probably good that they have the mini-games since playing Deal or No Deal would get boring after a while.
All in all, I think for the price it's a reasonably good game except I wish the graphics were more smoothly rendered. I think it would be a good game at a party, even with only one player at a time because the interaction would make it more like the TV show. If you like Deal or No Deal on TV you'll probably like this game.

The game is a little slow we played one at the arcade and thought that it would be about the same on the wii. However we do enjoy playing it. Thank for the opportunity to buy these wii games at a much better price than going to the store and paying full retail. It is a pleasure to be able to purchase these games less than retail my family's ages are so spread out we couldn't afford to buy these games at full price. Thanks
