Excellent Projector
This projector is excellent. Great, deep, rich colors. I modified a couple settings as suggested online and also get excellent black levels. This works great in a well lit room or in the dark. My screen is 140 inches and the picture is super sharp.

Not the absolute best, but not $2500 either......
I bought this projector after carefully studying the reviews on the internet. Despite the known issues (discussed later here), I felt it had two things going for it: 1. This projector is probably one of the most popular out there in terms of sales, meaning parts and lamps are going to be readily available for a long time to come. 2. It has a good low cost to high performance ratio. A good buy for the money. I purchased my Epson 8350 projector used, with about 900 hours on the lamp. When I first received and unboxed the projector it would not turn on at all, and had a temperature alarm LED lit. Turns out that I needed to let it warm up to room temperature first as it was very cold in the UPS truck. Internet reviews of these Epson 8350 projectors show that they have a habit of going ... This happened only once on me so far, when the room heater accidentally was left on and the temperature went up to about 85 degrees. Hotter at the ceiling, I am sure. Cooling down the room and unplugging and re-plugging in the projector fixed the issue. Other than that the projector has worked flawlessly since. (I have put about 50 more hours on it). The HD picture in my windowless theater room is outstanding, using a 92 inch screen with the projector roof mounted about 13 feet away. For the price it does a great job, and I would recommend it to anybody that does not want to spend $2500 for a projector, but wants great performance.

been great so far.beautiful picture,easy to use,

The Epson 8350 met all our requirements for a tv projector
Over the years, we have worn out three ceiling mounted front tv projectors. When you get accoustomed to watching an eight foot picture, nothing less is acceptable. Flat screen tv's do not approach that size, and if they did, the price would be enormous. We searched for a new front projector with three requirements: (10 1080p, (2) 2000 lumens, and (3) 50,000:1 contrast. The Epson 8350 met these requirements. A local dealer could provide the unit for $1,399. We found one on E-bay for $1045 freight prepaid. It was much lighter than the old 3 tube projectors, easy to install, and works perfectly. Overall great picture, would have been double awesome if it had keystone co
No wonder I have seen highh ratings for this product.. Awesome picture out of the box, feel like watching a cinema in a multiplex theatre. The HD picture quality, no noise all makes it aperfect buy. Would have been great if it had the lens shift adjustment on the remote itself. There is a slight curve at the top of my screem even though I did maximum lens shift. This is due to a bend in the wall where i have projected it. However if a keystone adjustment was availble, this would have solved my prob. Only because this I give a 4.5 stars.No wonder I have seen highh ratings for this product.. Awesome picture out of the box, feel like watching a cinema in a multiplex theatre.
